Interestingly enough, my 63 year old mother, who has 8 grandchildren, finds a few of my paintball guns rather fascinating. She doesn't care for my electros, nor my pumps, but she loved firing off a ton of balls at a target with my Tiberius T8 and my mechanical full auto AT85. Some times I think she channels the spirit of Ma Barker

I've been playing 9 years, began when I was 14, I'm now 23. My mother still hates it and is still under the impression that it's "just a phase."

I saw a kid's grandmother watch him at practice today. She didn't say anything, and you could tell she didn't completely understand, but every point, she was right outside of the netting watching her grandson crawl up the snake. Parents are generally pretty understanding once they see it once and realize how safe it is, IMO.

Back in the summer of 1999, my dad found a brass eagle talon under my bed. I thought he was going to freak out instead he went and ordered both us Spyder TL's and all the gear.

Not only did he buy my initial gun and gear and his, he would buy cases of paint in bulk break it down and sell it to all the neighbors and friends who played with us. He even had his own CO2 fill station and later a scuba system set up that would give us 3k fills. This was a major convenience seeing how the closest store was 25 minutes away and ridiculously expensive. He even bought chronographs and helped us build bunkers in the 10 acres of woods we played in across the street from our house.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of him back in the day playing on my laptop.
