Angry Kingman Chaser Pistol Constantly Breaking Paint

Hello everyone,

I just bought my first pistol, i went with the kingman Chaser. I picked it up NIB with 2 extra clips for $75 out the door. Well for the price i figured what the hell, i might as well give it a try.

The pistol came with 100 kingman paintballs. The paint was very brittle and I was constantly breaking paint.

So i decide to try new paint and the other two clips. I went with rap4 paint as i heard it wasnt as brittle. The pistol is still breaking paint. about 1 ball every clip-2 clips if im lucky.

This is driving me crazy because it is breaking leaving the clip/entering the breech (not in the barrel). Every time a ball breaks i have to completely disassemble the marker. i cant just squeegee the barrel and keep shooting.

Is anyone else experiencing this and/or is there a solution?

Thanks for your time. Adam

Adam,

This seems to be a known issue with the Kingman Training markers. I've seen a few others that have had the same issue =(.

I got one for cheap also and tested it out this weekend. Couldn't get the paint to break for crap actually. I few finally when hitting a tree but that was it.

mine is the exact opposite. if i drop the stock paint form 10 inches it breaks. rap4 paint is a lot better but it still breaks leaving the clip.

Breaking Paint?

New Chaser..... 4 mags rapid fire, no breaks, no chrony. Every other post records high velocity out of box and 1 mile above sea level. Usually gives 10-15 fps.

I used to have trouble with mine ... then I did two things:

1. I release the magazine slider before inserting the mag. I was used to Tiberius where the slider releases automatically, that isn't the case with these. When I wouldn't release it manually, the 2nd or 3rd ball would always break. Firing the marker the first shot would shake it enough to release the slider but for various reasons that would cause the 2nd or 3rd ball to crack. Now that I manually release the slider I don't have the constant 2nd or 3rd ball mess.

2. I decided to lower the velocity a bit. This isn't meant for long range. And lowering the velocity has improved the reliability when it comes to paint breaking in the marker. I use the Eraser for 2 things and both are ok with lowered velocity. 1. I run private games with people far less experienced than me... I let them use the Tiberius markers, I use an Eraser to handicap me on the range. 2. I use it as a backup/close range to running with a First Strike only Tiberius setup. No reason to use a first strike at 10-20ft.

(For the mods, yes this is an old thread, but it's not a popular marker and this info can be useful to this thread)

in my opinion, if this problem keeps acting up, sell your chaser and get the kingmann eraser. its made completely of alluminum, so its a little on the heavier side, and its 20 bucks more than the chaser, but ive fired around 3 mags continuously and had only one break. and it didnt screw up my gun!!

i have the eraser and i dont have this problem.
I only broke 2 balls out of the 100 that came with the gun after these nun..
you might need to break it in...
some tips...insert the mags slowly and only cock the gun only once (some owners tend to cock it every time they insert a mag.

also make sure before inserting the mag that you take the clip safety off (the one thats on the mag not the gun) if you dont do this your clip will shoot various balls into the chamber. This is what i think is causing your ball breaking. hope this helps anyone who has a chaser or eraser

Take the bolt, sand down the bottom of the bolt so its rounded. I have seen this done, it stops the bolt from clipping the ball at the top of the mag. you take the risk of ruining your bolt, but if it works it practically eliminates chopping.
