TV People

So, I was recently looking and browsing for a new TV. I can't go much larger than 55" but I have been recommended a 51" Plasma. Looking for some insight around what everyone else has and your thoughts.

Samsung PN51F8500

now that panasonic's out of the plasma market, that's probably one of the best plasmas/best TVs you can find right now, at least without spending multiple thousands of dollars. i want an f8500

Plasma is better for darker pictures...If that makes sense..example you watch a wide screen movie and it has "bars" on top and bottom they will be a lot darker then lcd or led..which I like...they won't be as gray..I have a plasma and lcd...A TV is all about personal preference if you ask me...my kids mostly what animated movies so they watch on the lcd because it brighter...
