NPPL HB '10 Question

I may be looking to get a team together, but I dont want to go into this blind, I want to have the costs figured out, and would like some input from experienced players. I am basically looking to have a great paintball experience with my friends/fellow players before I go away to university.

Through some research I found otu some prices, please no flaming im going by the 09 prices which obviously could change, but just to give me a brief estimate:
Event Date: April 9-11 2010
Practice before hand: Depends on how frequently etc.

Event registration fee:
Division 3 7-man entry $1,850 One of these two, Leaning towards 5 man. If anyone wants to give me reasoning to play another, tell me please.
Division 3 5-man entry $1,100

Paint (2009 HB prices):
$30- $45 preordered depending on kind of paint.
(Id like to hear input on how much paint is used approximately.)

Flight:??? (yet to do research)

Hotel/House: Any suggestions?

Food costs:???

Everyones help and input will be greatly appreciated. Also, if ANyone who is an experienced baller wants to join in on this adventure, let me know ahah.

On that note: Am I missing anything? Thanks,

I would say that if you are a group of guys playing first time tournament then play 5man. if you have tourny experiance i would say play 7man. i played 5man in 09 and not to knock on uspl/nppl they pay little attention to 5man compared to 7man. It is a good price increase but i would say it is worth it. i played 7man in HB. The league themselves does a pretty good job at helping find some pretty cheap hotels. so check the website as far as food price its about the same as eating anywhere else. there are places that you can pay good money to eat at as well as plenty of decent priced sit down places. and of course there is alyways fast food. i would say min of 30 cases if you plan on playing sunday for cases of paint. hope this helps.

Through the tournaments I have traveled to whether it be west coast (drive to), or east cost (fly) I would spend, on average, $1,000 with no sponsor contribution per event. This was for NPPL 2006 - 2007 season.

My prices include:
-travel ($50 if we drove, $300 to fly)
-hotel (wed - mon 4 to a room ~$150)
-food (eating out all the time and stuff for the trip ~$150)
-paint (about $50 per person)
-entry ($200-$300 per person)
-nightlife and purchasing merchandise were extra but I could never resist

This is just from my experience. You could spend less several different ways.

for me i played Dc last year heres what the cost was

Entry-about 200
Paint- we had was 35*10cases so 350
travel- 20 a person for gas since we drove
hotel-50 for thursday to sunday 3 people in a room
food- 75
all bases off d3 5 man

the league can help a great deal with cheaper hotels. also if possible drive since HB is during spring break tickets are very pricey. also when eating try to do like mc donalds since its cheap with the dollar menue or another similar place.

We played from saturday (8 games) to sunday all the way to the finals ( 9 games) in XPSL last year and we used about 30ish cases. 7 man. Really just depends on how much paint your team likes to shoot.

heres one i threw together after doin a lil research, the hotel cost is kinda wack, and im flying from michigan, to cali so the tickets will be a lil more

Entry- 1600$ 7 man 200$
950$ 5 man 158$

Paint- 900$ 30 cases
7-115$
5-150$

Flights- 350$

Hotel- 1400$
7-175$
5-233$

Rental Car- 400$
7- 50$
5- 70$

Total-890$ 7 man
961$ 5 man

thats with 8 people for 7 man, and 6 for 5man.
