The chick was a douche about the whole thing. She called for the multiple recounts, and when the third set of numbers came in the dude said revote (wife says that would have been allowed if they both agreed) because of all the issues, chick told him and everyone else to pack sand.

This is all third hand though. I've never been a resident of Washington, but my wife was and her family still is. Many are still bitter about that mess.

"all the issues" meaning the ones that favored Rossi, of course. why should gregoire agree to that if she doesn't have to? they counted the votes and she won. he tried all kinds of court maneuvers and he was soundly rejected. ended up dropping it because he was so badly defeated in court, i.e. he had no legal grounds.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the largest right wing media voices saying that this is the biggest election ever, that an Obama re-election would spell disaster for this country, that the man is not an American, that his faith is not the one that he says he is, and that he is a socialist who may not have born in this country.

You get people riled up on nonsense for 2 years, then they start to believe some of it. And when reality smacks them in the face, shows them that the majority of the country does not agree with their paradigm, it insults their intelligence and their belief system; which will yes, result in anger.
