Well as many of you have seen there have been tons of update threads nowadays. Well I was the first to ever 2k5 a species. I scrapped that gun for parts a few months ago and now I’m back and better than ever (for Christmas this year….pballkm21’s species is here ).




Well as of now here are the specs. These are just the baseline. I have hundreds of dollars worth of parts coming to me in mid September.

Species trigger guard that amazingly fits the alias frame with no modification (yes it worked installed on guns and the screw doesn’t block or hit anything) (not in pic)

Oh yeah...did i mention all these parts were bought for a grand total of $104 and an UL barrel .

I also have all SS screws that i am installing now to replace the ****ty rusted ones one there in the pic.
With all those parts the gun shoots flawlessly. It is amazing with no kick and is very consistent

In mid sempember I will buy all of these parts…

so since i have recently aquired a used classic timmy in a trade at a tourney, i have decided to upgrade to a point of nearly being 2k5'd. i am not sure if i want to buy new internals or not, but i'll decide when the time comes. i'll start with a list of what i have left to purchase, then i will turn it into a step-by-step update.

6/17/06: trade my ion for a broken *** classic with a 2k2 frame and was 2.9.

8/1/06: fix multiple leaks FINISHED

8/10/06: ship out dualies to trade for alias block/lpr. finally got that damn feedneck out.


8/14/06: order classic feedneck, but recieve this send back


8/16/06: ccm recieved my feedneck today, as well as the returned incorrect one. they are going to match the threads and send back the correct one. damn that was fast. alias block should be here any day now.

sorry for the delay guys. once i get the correct feedneck and the alias block. i will get pics. then i will be sending the gun to BLAST for tapping and milling.

8/19/06: ZOMG!!!!11!! TEH BLOCK IS HUR!!!!11!!!!. sending gun to blast.


9/1/06 god damn, waited 3 weeks for my new wiring harness and hybrid cap, just got them today, but now the gun is skippin shots like mad. depending on what i get for my birthday (monday, the 4th) i may just get a new board and wiring.

9/5/06 got 330 bucks for my birthday yesterday, i am getting a used frenzy board and noid from ubershinobi on the nation, as well as a membrane pad. i am also getting wiring from paintballer187.com. i will send the gun to blast for tapping after i recieve my board, noid, frame, and wiring, and i will dremel out the bottom as apposed to milling it. stay tuned

9/8/06 got home from school to find a nice package on my doorstep. new frame and wiring arrived today. only problems are,
1. my front helicoil is being a ****** so i am solely rely-ing on one rear screw and a weak front screw.
2. the grips i ordered from the same company as the frame, on the same day, aren't here yet.

Since everybody is doing Species and other gun update threads I thought I'd contribute my current Dragon project to the battle to see who can build the hottest, tricked out 05'd timmy.

Parts are going out to Precisionpb for anno today or monday, and other than that it's pretty much set to go with the following parts:

My newly finished project is a custom 2K5 black with blue parts Ripper 1. This has taken me about 5 months to complete and more money than I want to think about, I love it though. My goal was to use the most amount of aftermarket parts possible (without sacrificing quality) to make it as unique as possible. I started with absolutely nothing, and hand picked each individual part. All parts have been annodized to match by Rick from precisionpb.com. I didn't cut any corners and tried to get everything perfect. Check out the pics than look at the specs below.

I decided to start this project when I came upon a nice orange/bronze colored Z-Timmy body here on PbNation, and purchased it, which sparked me into deciding to build another timmy....

Specs of the project thus far:

2k2 LED Frame ( I like it better than an Alias/2k5 frame) Soon to be anno'd gloss black.
Black CP Volly and 2k2 LPR
Black Torpedo with CCM J2 Delrin Pistons.
Black Front Block

VaporWorks Entropy Board
Black and White Hybrid ***** grips.


Soon to come/on the way:

2k2 Ramsleeve with Eigenram, purchased from Lurker.
Hybrid Endcap
Alias frame may also be added, because the LED frame might be used on a Spimmy project.

Black combo with the Alias frame

Blue LED Frame, and blue front block. Still trying to decide if I should make it black/bronze or blue/bronze. Annoing it blue/bronze will require more parts to be anno'd I think, eye covers will have to be blue, torp will have to be blue/bronze, then the LPR/Volly will have to be blue/bronze also. If I go with the black/bronze combo, I could get away with just anno'ing the frame black, then leave everything else black also. Not really sure what I will do..... Opinions?



Honestly, I had no idea this Z-Timmy could look this good, when I originally got it, I thought "What the hell color combo will I use with this thing!". But now after some expirementing and such, I believe this could replace my primary Timmy, but I will have to see how it turns out.

So, whaddya guys think? You will have to use your imagination I guess until tomorrow night, but when you see it, it will be more than worth it. This gun is jaw dropping. Cant wait to see how it shoots too

just got my project up, but thinking about goin w/ the dark trooper white ano (not original i know) on the trigger guard, eye covers, sleeve, block and feedneck, but came up w/ a new idea carbon fiber(regular yellow, or red) ano pitched the idea to rick at precisionpb, duno if its possible, here she is

well, i got a new job and thought i would celebrate by building a species.
so far i got a good deal through hell-intimidator on a species body with eye covers, hybrid hedlok2, bolt, bolt remover, and already tapped for an alias block for 80 shipped. Next i pulled out my wallet and paid for an empire pressure balanced ramsleeve for 100 shipped through ebay. yes ebay has a lot in stock for those wondering in 800paintballs store on there. so far 180 down and i couldnt b more happier. next im gona save a lil bit and just buy out an alias and sell off the parts no needed...so be ready if ur looking for a partout. For annoing i m not a fan of the original green/purple acid splashed look so im thinking about either cobalt-clear dust with gloss black parts or black-gunmetal grey with gloss blue parts. either would look sick so if anyone can photoshop pm me and i'll see about pics of a species. by the end i think this will cost around 700-800 but i will b mowing fools and getting some heads turned my way. not alias tapped im just stupid
