Hi guys so I am looking at getting a new marker for roughly $600. The big thing is I want something purple and green to go with the tank and hopper I already have set aside for the gun. I was planning on buying a JT Impulse, but looking at them the big issue is that it is hard to find parts if something breaks/dies/etc. I did some research and figured since I have my mini I would try something different and PE seemed like a good company to go with. I will most likely be getting it custom anno'd by ansgear. Does anyone know of any other options out there?

I love my GTEKs. I also really like my etek. Really depends onwhat feels right and I prefer single tube markers.

Hmm Well I am hoping to hold both this weekend and get a feel for them. Hopefully one will feel much better to me than the other haha.

Out of the 2 which one would you guys say is easier to maintain?

Tough call. The bolt and ram on the etek is super easy to maintain but you do have an lpr to also maintain. The Gteks bolt is a little more work to fully break down. I would say both are stupid easy though so we are really just splitting hairs. They can both go a long time without maintenance as well.

Yeah, PE has a reputation for being durable and reliable and both the Etek 5 and the Gtek are solid in that regard. I agree that it will probably come down to preference between spools and poppets. Both will do great.

I am a diehard poppet guy. Loved my old egos and impulse. So I was thinking of getting an etek5 myself. I ended going gtek because of its sound signature. It's not like the etek5 is loud but to me the gtek was a little easier on the ears when I'm sneaking around. Everything else like shot feel and gun feel was very similar to me so the gtek sound was the tie breaker.

Thanks guys and yeah I'm leaning more towards the Gtek now but it is pretty close. I guess I'll have to decide which one will look better with a custom anno.
