Hey, i have a suggestion
I think there should some sort of award given out for the MVP (Most Valuable Paintballer) of each event or each division or somthing like that.
Tell me what you all think

I think each division. Becuase some players in better divisions will be better then lets say some lower divisions.

may be cool but should have some rules

like in the superbowl they have a mvp thing according to stats and the teams in the superbowl

itd be too hard to make it fair

there could be a prize for either the best player or team.
and in each division
3-man yg/3-man D-2/3-man D-1
5-man D-2/5 man D-1
7-Man
what would the prizes be if this were to happen?

I don't see how it could happen without having the refs vote, and that would just slow games down (they'd have to take notes and stuff between games.

How about a "Sportsmanship" award for each division? That would be a bit easier. Let the Refs vote at the end of prelims. Announce the winner just prior to the finals (but they will have to stick around until the end of the finals to collect their prize with everyone else.) This will help promote "good behavior" out on the field.

It would have to be a good prize. If its like a jersey i dont think someone is going to stick around to get it.

The two teams in the finals could only get the MVP. That is how other sports do it i think

Sounds like a good idea, but it also sounds like it could be hard to judge and could lead to problems. Realisticly you would have to try and keep track of every move/kill that happens in all the games, sounds a little more complicated than possible. But if the GPL staff can pull it off, it will just further prove that this series is very well run.

What you can do is have the staff pick a team that did well or improved a lot and then the team members pick the mvp. just a thought.

a sportsmanship award would be more beneficial than a MVP because i mean how are us supposed to tell an MVP from any other player on the team unless you are counting each body every play shoots and tally them up..... sportsmanship award would be a great idea for the team that showed the best sportsmanship throughout the series or at each event even if you want to do it that way

it should be a sportsmanship award for a team in each division. a team would be easier to pick than an individual. keep it simple
