Looking for some feedback for those who drive RWD in the snow

Im looking to purcahse a new car in april or may.
It is RWD and i am looking for advise from thoughs who drive a RWD car during the winter. The first thing I will be buying is some snow tires on steel rims. Iv driven a FWD car with all seasons for the last 5 years so i want to know if RWD w/snow tires > FWD w/ all seasons.

Thanks

Any car with good snow tires will always beat xyz car with all seasons in snow. Even AWD is bad in the snow without the right tires; I had to drive my Impreza home in a snowstorm on all seasons after being away for a while because there was no snow when I left. It was driveable if you went slow, but any kind of evasive driving or sudden stopping was impossible.

Just don't drive like an ******* and you'll be fine.

No big deal. Don't be retarded. People have done it with primitive tire technology and heavy *** cars for decades.

It can't be done. I attempted to drive my RWD car in like 1/2" of snow and it slid down my hill. I'd stick to FWD

My friend managed to get his fox body to school on slicks in the snow. Don't even know how the **** that happened.

I've got an 05 GTO that doesn't do all that well in the snow but I also don't put snow tires on it. As long as I start out in 2nd or 3rd and ease of the clutch with the brake slightly in and don't give it gas it did ok. You should be fine with good tires.

I drive a firebird, using summer tires it sucks, my bfg kdws make it drivable, but in heavy snow getting over 25 mph can be a challenge.
