clean, simple and very good looking.
now, if companies realize that people will pay for milling instead of lasering or factory anno, we can all travel back to a happier time.

wow, looks nothing like an 05 anymore! Good work on some original and clean milling (and not dremel work)! Give it to Matoca for an equally unique anodizing!
Did you happen to weigh the body before and after?

Thanks guys. Laser engraving is much easier and less risky than machining.

I have a harbor-freight mini mill and an extended bed mini lathe aswell as a lot of different cutters and taps that I have built up over the years. If I can get enough money for a cnc mill through my anodizing work and what I do here, I will be buying a tormach 770 or maybe the bigger one. I just have to convince my dad that the room it will take up in the shop is well worth what I can make with it.

Thanks man!, Don't knock the dremel. It has its place. I use a dye grinder with a carbide bur all the time. Idk what I would do with out it.
I've been anodizing my own guns for about 5 years now so ill be doing this one. Mario does do some cool stuff tho!

No I always forget to. Don't suppose anyone has a scale and an 05 ego body?

If you end up getting yourself that CNC, and don't need your mini-mill, shoot me a pm. I've been dying to get into mill work for quite some time.

i know lasering and anno is less risky, but to quote WDP, "Who Dares, Plays", or in your case, "who dares(to mill something unique, will) pay."
i also find that its odd that years ago, a custom or limited run special edition, was milled differently, and you'd pay the extra over the base model. now, the guns are all milled the same, but the colours are all different. what are people paying for, other than the exclusivity or better credit score to get the "choice gun" now.
so, new pics of the complete gun(unanno'd) to show what it will look like.

there you go... not all finished with sanding yet
Yea I am disappointed in the new stuff to. The le guns should be totally different on the outside. Like the old tirx's and shockers.
There were soo many cool cuts of those guns. I think it might be because cnc tech was exploding which made it an exciting venture to cut guns in a crazy way.

true about 32 grand for the base, but the capability and speed of the haas is well woth it imo. all depents on your need and if you could keep enough work to justify it.

WOW!! That looks amazing. Great work man. I'm sure that even Mr. Wood would be impressed with how far you've taken this 05.
