oh noes!

and really, you dont know what you're talking about. it's not dell's responsibility to send you a new psu or mobo after the warranty is up. things break. learn to cope or go whine to your mom, the rest of the world will have little sympathy.

Dell sucks, no doubt about it.

Actually, now that I think of it, every major pc manufactorer sucks. Build your own and be happy. Its cheaper, and you will save even without a warentee on some parts because you can buy HIGH QUALITY parts.

As for laptops, just get a good warentee and hope for the best.

its a for-profit company, not a charity. you dont think youre paying for the 1-year warranty?

i know they fail, but for a 1 year old computer, a major part to blow shouldnt happen.... maybe after 3 years then yea, but 1 year? that is wayyyy to soon. And the mobo didnt blow by itselft, the PS was defective thus blew the mobo out....

so? the mtbf is just that, only an average. dell cant possibly test the psu's to see if they'll fail after 13 months.

im just sayin that they should back there product. if this is say 1 in 1,000 of a ps that blows out, they should at least replace it even if the computer isnt under warantee. I mean it isnt my fault that the ps is defective now is it?

why should they? the warrantee was up. after a year it most definitely falls within an acceptable rate of failure. yeah, it sucks that it failed. like i said, learn to cope. hardware failures happen when you deal with computers.
