Before I just dismiss this like that, the interaction of that area and the gun is actually like quite a few other guns. The G6R/Timmy, Ego/Etek, shoot spyder, Tippmann, well go down the stacked tube list - ALL of them basically have exactly the same problem. In some way or form they all have the same action down there, and critical o-rings running with exposure to the elements. Shoot, the G6R/Timmy shuttle has very similar sealing dynamics, yet when you have a problem it is a drop out fix. Same here.
Macdev's covered bolt is brilliant. It keeps that area clean. In the future, and with James's blessing I might do that on some version. But like the list of guns up above, we shouldn't have any more, though truthfully, nor any less, problems then they do. I have gotten paint, shells, dirt, snow, so much rain I had to dump the air chamber, dust and related in there. Always kept on rockin.
And clean up takes a few seconds, just like your ego.
Good comment though! Thanks for thinking it through and asking.

You've continually kept up with the conversation, and been nothing but professional, my earlier comments could have and with most companies would have been ignored.. or replied to quite harshly.
Sight unseen you're winning me over.. Whenever is convenient for you, shoot me a PM. I'll be at the Extravaganza and would like to say hello and talk about getting some of these in my neck of the woods. Ill be going down as a player, not a representative for any companies, or third party interests. I'm very much a skeptical new buyer, but the way you've presented yourself to the masses of Pbn that aren't forgiving is admirable.
Count me in as a very interested supporter.

Love the photoshop! When I dial in the Rapid Prototype machine I might have to print up a J4 gear for the best photoshop of this thread. Might have to add voting...

The real question here is how many people took the time to read that the cuts in the pic above are of the older concept....

Torque concept as I'd like it to be.
First off, I have no knowledge of the final design outside of what has been revealed by J4, this is my concept of the Torque. The Torque should have: high quality rubber for the grips, as well as rubberized grips on the reg (think Dye Sticky), easy access hinged eye/detent covers (09 Imp), and pinch lock mechanisms on both the bolt and piston tubes for a completely closed to environment marker that still tears apart lightning quick (Luxe/Cyborg RX hybrid).

Been doing this far too long to have a thin skin. You made good comments, as we see them.
And, like we have mentioned otherwise, if you don't like our gun, we didn't built it for you.

Paintball News Rules |
- No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
- Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
- If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
- Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
