I am going to be traveling worldwide in a few months and plan on biking around some countries.
When I do this, there is a chance of getting a flat, nobody likes flat tires.

So I need a way to fill up my new tube in a fast manner up to 90 psi.

I figured why not use my 13/3000 tank?

The hookup plan goes like this:
Tank>ASA>Macroline>Regulator>Tire Inflator.

The only issue I have is getting from the regulator to the tire inflator thingy.

And I'll be setting the Regulator to whatever pressure necessary to fill the tire appropriately.

My best idea is to get a connection from the output of the regulator to a quick disconnect like my air compressor has.

Anyone ever try this idea before? anybody have an idea to connect the two? and does anybody know the sizes of these connections?

Thank you, I didn't see that product, but I really would enjoy making this little gizmo and not spending $100 for it.

It seems to me that I only need some form of adapter. Since I have ASA's, Regulators, gauges, tire inflators, quick disconnects, macro fittings, and macroline.

It makes more sense in my mind to just go ahead with this little build since im only one item short, which will cost me <$20

Plus I'm sure that there are other people with the same things I have that would only need one more specific part in order to complete this idea. Maybe they would be as interested as I am in knowing what it is, and where to obtain one.

Well, you could always run an asa from the output of a standard reg, then hook a 1/8th npt to 1/4npt adapter from any home repair store. Air tools use 1/4 npt so any common air tool can be run.

The palmer reg is expensive but the best option for size. You're obviously using what you have so I would think you would need this:

ASA>1-2" galvanized fitting with male threaded 1/8NPT ends>ASA>regulator>small 1/8NPT galvanized fitting>1/4NPT to 1/8NPT reducer>tire valve adapter

The second ASA would only be needed if you have a standard male tank reg. I would hardline everything to keep down the bulk but you could use macro if you wanted it to break down. Taking a trip to the hardware store with your parts in hand (I've done it many times) you can find what you need in their pipe section.

thats the point of the reg, drop the pressure using a gauge, I have a CP reg w/ gauge ports

I don't know the size of a bicycle air fitting, but this may work. Along with a Male 1/4 NPT to Male 1/8 NPT. That would allow it to fit into the macro spot on your 2nd ASA.

So you would have it as tank>Asa>reg>Asa>1/8to1/4 fitting>1/4 to schrader valve.

I would like to stick with the air tank idea since I will be with other friends with bikes, so I can fill up more than once or twice.

Also, I may sound ignorant, but I don't want CO2 in my tires.
I don't know what that would do exactly.

And thanks for the webpage but what I need is a male to male, 1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter and I will be all set like you said

I've done that a few years ago and use it to inflate my motorcycle tires, I can take a pic when I get home from work.
I use my 68ci when I need it
the setup is, empire on/off, shocker sft regulator with an old wgp asa and then a fitting for the inflator (not sure wich one, we have a metric system overhere)

works just fine

imo it is too heavy and big. It's a cool thing to have around the house but to have it on the road....idk
I would go with the one with 12 gram carteidges, just bring more carteidges.

I carry a similar setup in my car all the time. 68/45 with ASA>reg>ASA>1/8to1/4 adapter>chuck. I can get a large truck tire to 65 psi with no worries. Saved my bacon several times. My little 205/50-17s are nothing. Bet I could fill all four of them from flat.

Little $10 hand pump will save you time, weight, size and probably cost the same as the parts needed for your idea.

it would save you time in the long run because your pack would be 10 lbs lighter. And you can carry several of those tiny co2 cartridges for those inflators, I would make everyone carry 2.
