University of Iowa paintball

getting approved is a start, but getting a field at UI is out of the question.

I know we were very lucky to get our own field set up on campus, but I am not sure of the details that went with it.

But to have another speedball team to scrim every weekend would be fun for us and I'm pretty sure the guys wouldn't mind having your team come out on Sundays to practice if that would help

I know that getting our own field is a stretch, but ISU just proves that it can be done, and I don't even expect the school to pay for any of it. I just need to prove that they have nothing to lose on it, only to gain. Not only is paintball very safe, but on top of that, a field can be packed up and moved so if they decide the dont want it in whatever location its in, there is no damage, and no loss.

UPDATE: I will be presenting to the Student Organization Review Committee exactly one week from today. I have prepared a powerpoint presentation and a written proposal to give to them during my presentation. This is the final say as to whether we get accepted as an official sports club or not so wish me luck!

I have my presentation on wednesday at 11:20 AM. I prepared a powerpoint and a written proposal. Assuming all goes well, I will post them on pbnation for other people looking to start a club to use. They are both fairly in depth. It will also give everyone a better idea of how this club will work. Next time I post in this thread will either be with amazing news or terrible news. Lets hope for the latter.

Hey everyone! So I had my meeting and apparently they never approve anyone right away, however, they seemed very impressed with my presentation, organization, and level of professionalism. Its looking like there's going to be a University of Iowa Paintball Club/Team!!! We should recieve final say in a few weeks or so.
