Misalignment issue?
Hi,
I've put a few posts up this morning in the Ego section of the Planet Eclipse forum. Normally the text in all of the posts seems to auto-correct and shunt any incomplete words to the next line. Something appears to be stopping this feature from working.
Please can you let me know if it's something that i have done or if its a bug!

I put a change live yesterday that changes the behavior of word wrapping, so very long lines of text will wrap differently. Do you have a link to the post you've made that you consider to be incorrectly formatted? I don't think the change I made should really have much effect on things other than if you are posting extremely long lines of text (like urls).

Ah, I see what you mean, it seems to only manifest itself on Firefox. I made a change that should revert it to the way it works (not breaking words mid-word), but still wrap long urls.

It is still breaking up words in IE (I know, IE  ) . Anyway, I notice it everywhere, not just long lines of text. For example, your post above mine, Kyle. The word "breaking" is actually shown as (not brea
king words mid-word) Ironic, isn't it  .
EDIT: This very post has it too. The 1st line, the word "above" is broken to "ab" on 1st line and "ove" on the second.

Oh, IE uses a different css rule that's proprietary (surprise!) let me see if I should change that as well and you can test for me.

That should fix it. Apparently the "-ms-word-break" css property does not have an analogue to "word-wrap: break-word", so I'll just remove it and IE users can suffer.

BIG surprise with the IE rules :megadodgy: . So far it looks like it has been corrected. I'll cruz around the site some more to be sure. Thanks  .
