Don't base it on who you want to support. That is the gayest thing I've heard.
I agree, you should demo some boards, or ride your friends.. Base it on what feels good to you for what you do on the mountain..
Personally I love Burton. Not only do I love my board and how it rides, but also their great customer service. I've never had a problem with them and they are very fast
STAY AWAY FROM CAPITA.
I used to go to school at Liberty University (We have the United States first Snowflex [Year round ski hill - YouTube it]) a few of my friends there who are great riders (They throw Cork 7's 9's and one guy just started stompin' 10's.) They rode Capita's.. Those things snapped like twigs, metal edges would break and the base would peel away.. Capita would do nothing and blame it on user error without even allowing the board to be shipped to them.. Pretty poor customer service.

lol this is legit horse****. Ive been riding capita for 5 years now and they have some of the best customer service. when my board delamed they arranged UPS to be at my door next day to pick it up, i had a new board within the week.
I rode with capita team members like tj schneider and dan brisse for a week (who are more legit than their your friends) and watched them put in 8 hours a day on the same board, no problems.
Only reason ive had to change boards was base damage from riding to much concrete.

Legit horse s***? I'm just saying what happened. Both of my friends have had horrible experiences with their customer service. The local boardshop where they bought from even said Capita has made themselves look really bad this year with their customer service. Things change bro. You may have had good service, doesn't mean you always will. And no S*** they're "more legit". THEY'RE TEAM RIDERS. Geez. Keep flaming!

Rumors are that O-Matic is going out of business....there isn't a single local shop that sells O-Matic and i live in Utah.

Out of every board/company i've ridden since 1992, Mervin (Lib, GNU, Bent Metal, Roxy) is one of the best companies as far as products and customer service. My '09 Skate Banana had a big chunk taken out of of the top sheet from me hitting a rock and they replaced the board with no questions asked. I have a '08 GNU DK Vertigo that's amazing and just picked up a left-over 2010 Skate Banana....i'll stick with Gnu/LIB until something comes along that is better for me.

NeverSummer is great, although kinda pricey ($510 on average) but so is every other company now. I bought my first Skate Banana in '08 and it was $330, now they're almost $500 because of supply and demand.
