I concur. I bought 2 GXG's and their lids got blown off the first day. However, I've been running with the same app 50 rounder for months.

Plus GXG's don't even feed. I still have nightmares about the one game I played with one.

I tend to use an APP for speedball or 100 rd Sportshot for rec/woodsball.

I just got my Winchester and used it for the first time last night. With the dye lock lid mod it holds 68, and I shook it once all night, and that was @ the chrono. I really like it. Now to get it I had to buy a pair of hoppers and it cost $25, but knowing your hopper is going to feed is nice.

An aside: I was playing indoor speedball, with some walk on rental people, they seemed nice. The young kids suggested I needed to replace my Phantom with a NT10 or Ego, but thought the lock lid was cool.

There is definitely a point to agitating/force feed for pump but most such hoppers are unnecessarily large. I have a custom 100 rd agitating loader, that's the best of both worlds.

But I use my nonagitating 50 rounders more often.

I've never had a gravity hopper not feed while I'm autotriggering (I really hope that's a word). The Revvy was too awkward and heavy and not any more reliable than my APP on my pump.

There are not really many good option around now. ESP that tournaments are 60 rounds only here. But that is set to change SOON

I'm a fan of the sport shot. It's small 100rnd so you can find 100rnd pods that work for it and most common speed feeds also fit it. I use a sniper w/o auto trigger and have never had an issue with it feeding consistently.

45* stickfeed

Never jams. Never missfeeds. Lighter and smaller than anything and cheap to make!

i never had a problem with my GXG??? what are these weaknesses you speak of lol?

if you plan on playing up front, i like to use a 50 rd hopper, APP, GXG etc to cut down on weight and size, for playing in the back i like to roll with a proto primo to lay down paint

If your using proper technique the hopper profile really shouldn't matter that much unless your in the snake or near/past the 50. Which honestly is not the best tactic unless you snap shoot at the highest level. Find a hopper you feel comfortable with and you have the ability to reload quickly. I shoot most people while they are fumbling to reload or doing something other than putting balls down range at me.
