Just picked up a quest and I've got a few questions

I just picked up this quest today and i've got a few questions.

I read in the stickies, start from flush and go 3 turns in on the hpr and then set the lpr around 75-100... except I realized that my quest doesn't have a spot for a lpr gauge.

And my other question is that I have my lpr screw backed all the way out and the gun still cycles just fine, is this normal?

Thanks in advance

Does the force of the bolt cycle appear to change at all with the setting of the adjuster screw? If not, I would suspect that the LPR isn't actually regulating, and the pressure from the HPR is cycling the marker. If that were the case, the LPR core (Schrader valve) would need to be replaced.

I'll have to get some more air and test that out.

Also, where could I pick up one of these valves if that seems to be the case?

One of the best bets for any Quest spares is www.criticalpaintball.com

Quick and easy test - remove the LPR cap and internals, so that you just have the valve core left on the front of the LPR body/front reg mount. Then gas up the marker. If air starts to leak out of the LPR valve core, then it is bad.

Well with what little air I had left in my tank, I aired it up with nothing in the lpr but the valve core and no leaks.

Probably best to try again when you have more air in the tank.

LPR core

The wrong valve might be in the LPR. I had this problem.
Bought a new valve from critical and put it in. Found out after that there are two sizes. The 07 uses a longer valve core. where the 06 uses a shorter one. Check the spring on the valve core. If it is screwed up...chances are you have the wrong one.

You can buy a replacement core from a Volvo parts.

Click on the valve core link.
I am using one now in my marker and it works good. They are are $1.63 for two. I think i paid $2 shipped from them.
