Afghanistan, 2013. As US Coalition forces prepare to draw down, Central Command moves to act on Intelligence gathered during the Bin Laden Raid. A final offensive is planned to capture the Taliban Leadership. Centcom believes this would force the rest of the bewildered Taliban to come to the negotiating table. General Allen has tasked Army Rangers and Special Forces to initiate Operation Mountain Shield.
Taliban - Red
US- Blue
Red General: Doug "Husker" Decker; Red Raiders
Blue General: Todd Sullivan; War Hounds

When: January 19th, 2013. 9am till 3:30 pm. Award Ceremony will be at 4:00pm.
Where: Battle Creek Paintball and Airsoft. 625 Macopin rd, West Milford, NJ.
Price: BYOP optional.
-Entry with a case of paint : $65
-Entry without a case of paint: $40

Special Rules:
Barrel tagging will not be permitted. There will be a Surrender rule of 10 feet. Smoke grenades will be allowed, but must be cold burning only. Respawn will be instant (Touch and Go) from each team's insertion point. The game will have a mix of missions and flag station control.

An announcement will be made within the next two weeks as to who the General's for each side will be.

This is actually my first event that I am producing. I have a good amount experience with playing at Scenario events, and have helped produce them before. I have written the event and will be the head producer along with the owners of Battle Creek Paintball and Airsoft. I hope that this game will be run in a manner that draws more and more players to each event. I plan to help bring a quality game to the local scene. Stay tuned for more updates!

Will there be any Launchers allowed at the field?

Please explain the 10 ft surrender rule a bit more. If I come up behind someone and say surrender and they spin and shoot me, who is out?

Launchers will not be in use because there will be no tanks, however, you may use grenades. If you have a question regarding a home-made paintball grenade, speak with the head ref or myself on the day of the event just to get it checked out.

As for the surrender rule: If you were to come up on somebody and gave them the option for the surrender rule, and they turned and fired on you, then you would be out. It is an optional surrender to give the player a chance to either call himself out or attempt to fight it out. Basically whoever has the paint on them is the person that is out (unless they accept the surrender)

Currently still searching for a commander for the Blue team, however the Red Team has its General picked.

Coming out of retirement for one game only. A man who has lead a variety of Red Teams in over 25 games. He had his start in the paintball industry at this very field years ago and helped build some of the fields also.

Sweet. How will the game be run? Standard scenario with multiple objectives? Or one big objective?

Standard event. Flag stations are worth points every half-hour and missions will be issued every 45 minutes, with as much time to complete. The missions are designed to follow one another and some are reaction based (event happens, red or blue team must react to the other teams mission).

Nice. I usually play at skirmish, their scenarios are almost never reaction based. Sounds fun
