It depends on the time of the month. You can tell when when you find one super cranky and over reacting.
Pain is part of the game.

Lol that is true I guess
Took a shot yesterday from about 40 ft, right on my arm close to my arm pit and i cant even touch it today..
all my other friends dont welt but I welt at every single shot?
I got hit from like 50 yards yesterday and have a welt...
I dont care, just wondering why i welt up so easily and will that go away in time?
I dont even wanna know whats gonna happen when i get bunkered :-)

i play as a back/mid and i occasionally have to bump up with a dive or slide so i wear knee and elbow pads. yes you do get used to getting shot up pretty quick. i have been bunkered in snake and its not a big deal. you practically always get welts. just look at the pros they get welts every game. not a big deal man.

The only padding i wear is elbow pads and knee pads with slider shorts, and like the new dye jerseys have like 1/4 inch padding on the shoulders i believe

I always have rings/welts on my forearms and you dont know how many people have asked me if I have ring-worm.......I feel your pain lol.
Will they(the welts) stop happening? I dont think so. Its just kind of something that is on a person-to-person basis though.
Does it stop hurting? Not really but you stop caring as much. I call it being "ball shy." If you flinch at all when someone shoots at you or you even think about getting shot when your about to run a gap then you are ball shy. It will pass with time though. Mine went away completely after playing 3-4 scenarios over the course of about 6 months. Some people need longer some people only need a game or two.

I play on a patchy *** field and have rammed into a spike before. But I guess since I'm not a ***** I kept playing.

I know we had our differences in the news section but that was pretty uncalled for lol.
You are a total ***** for taking care of your body so you dont have to walk around with a cane by the time your 35.
Its called being smart people...I thought all this macho **** died when we were in highschool........wait a minute.....they are probably still in highschool and feel invincible. Well im 19 about to turn 20 (I graduated the week after I turned 17 :nododgy: ) and I can already tell all you (Dye & David) that you will regret the stupid *** things you did when you were 15.
You will regret things like not doing your homework or studying for a test. You will regret not taking care of your joints so that you can continue to live a life if excitement. You will regret being a little prick that thinks he is the hottest **** on the block.
Well there is always someone younger and better than you so learn to take care of your body now so you dont look like a fool of an old-timer trying to make it to the 50 with a limp.

Then that guy must regret not knowing how to slide worth a ****. If he would of slid on his thighs instead of his knees, he wouldn't of ****ed them up.
It's called being smart while your young. I don't have to layer myself in bulletproof Kevlar when I go play. Sliding is a controlled fall, and he obviously just fell. Don't try to chastise me like I'm a child, Mr. High And Mighty. You aren't as wise and clever as you think you are.

Don't try to act like you are perfect either. Everyone messes up sliding at some point. Everyone.

And with that, I'm afraid it's beyond its useful point. Kind of a shame, too, it was an interesting topic while we were on it.
