Wait, wtf ? There are HP and LP macrolines ? I use the same macroline for my HP and LP tanks .. Unless of course you're talking about MICROlines .. which wouldn't make any sense at all ..

Most macro is rated at 1000+ psi, I know macrolineguy's looks like the green one and is tested at like 9500 psi or so.

What ever macro you can find. You won't notice the slightest bit of difference.

I only trust macro from macroline guy. Macro exploding is not fun, and it really hurts your ears.

hey guys i have a question, and i figured id post it here instead of yet another thread...
on the ions stock ASA, theres the elbow macroline connector (idk the official name), but when you buy an aftermarket ASA, the elbow doesnt come with it, im assuming. So i guess you would just buy the elbow from somewhere, or unscrew it from your old ASA, and use that. but it appears as if there's some loctite around the threads, but its yellow-looking instead of red or blue. is this important? if i just screw in the elbow to the new ASA without any type of loc-tite (or something similar) product, does it affect anything?

No, it should be fine, but a PITA to unscrew from the stock asa. I would personally put some teflon tape on there to be safe.

Yes, most def. put some teflon tape on it.
Now back to the thread, WOW I never knew there were two types of macroline !!! I wonder which one I have .. I guess it doesn't matter though, cuz my marker works fine

Well, macroline isn't something special made for paintball, it's just a hose with a certain outside diameter and pressure rating. There are many types of hoses out there that will do the same job, depending on where you get it...the material is qhat will change the wall thickness in this case. Stronger materials need less wall thickness and make a larger inside diameter.
That said, there's a theoretical difference, but nothing practical.
