Walking Tank Project

Here is my tank. It is for local scenarios and is one of the like 3 tanks in Nashville correct me if im wrong but i have 1, one is broken down in a shop somewhere, and the last i haven't seen in 2 years,) Don't hate on it because i cant afford some kind of golf cart or something to put it on.

Should i add anything besides paint and a little more armor on the top

It has a PVC frame and ply wood armor.
Its not done yet but PM me if you would like to build your own.
(for those who are wondering it weighs about 45 pound total if that.(if you can dead-lift the bar you got this.)

It is not done or painted. I will fill the gaps by the bottom of the netting.

Again, just because it does not have a motor does not mean i cant enjoy being a tanker.

Tell me about the cannon. Looks smaller than 2" or is it just for a marker?

`the net is fencing from home depot
and the cannon is a peice of 2 inch pipe for my marker. Im gona add a mini nerf cannon later and some pouches and ammo box's inside

any suggestions on the mini launcher?
hopping it is not gonna cost more than the tank itself

The holes on the net looks too large for paintball. You'll be cover in so much paint very fast. Get some Pet Screen or Solar Screen.

$150 or less if you are a good scrounger and don't have to send work out.,

This is a hand held but in its previous life a walking tank cannon.

Picture NOT using that 90 elbow between the valve and barrel. Use a nipple straight up into a T fitting for a breechloader with a longer barrel. This one does about 190 fps at 150 psi. A foot more barrel will go over 230 fps.

you have a link to this screen?

the fencing on there will stop the balls and i got some towels for the spray. I figure all tanks are gonna get sprayed that's just part of it

You need to check the rules for the games you want to attend. Many do not allow PVC air chambers any more. They are more lax with tank as any schrapnel will be contained inside the tank.

The standard cannon round is the Nerf Pocket Rocket. or whats the NEW name for it now guys?

Aero Flyer, Cause they use Vortex for another new product that looks like small foam disc. Even if used in a tank we recommend you change out the air chamber to metal. Plus having to use a hand pump will get old fast.

Is that 64 pounds battle ready, gassed up, paint pods, nerfs etc. ? or just the shell in the picture.

6.4 feet tall

i haven't weighed it yet but im guessing about 40 without anything but the tank

The gimbal for the cannon looks like a rubber roof vent cover. Correct?

The voice of experience here. You will need a spray bottle of WATER in your tank to spray the paint off your mask. Drip dry. Standard defense of infantry is to pour paint into the tank and blind the driver and gunner.

Looks like your are off to a good start. Sometimes I wished I would have went this way then spending the thousands of dollars on my Gator and my first riding lawnmower to make them into a tanks. If I was thirty years younger I might have started with a walking tank. Now I need to be carried then carry something like this for a while. May I also suggest in the way of accessories to have a spray bottle of water and paper towels or a rag. Your going to get slimmed inside from the paintball breaks on the netting and pvc.

A safety relief valve should be in there too with any pressure chamber.
