Would love a response
Hello, ive been trying to email and contact the nppl for a while now, and even tried to call chuck and the number as far as an issue we ran into after the 2012 season.
My name is Brandon, im the captain of the University of Missouri team, after placing 1st in the series (yes d4 race) i know we are lower division, but a few things that happened that were really upsetting and even after such a fun year in the nppl, has made the players not even want to play the league again.
1st, there weren't even trophies/medals for the series prize, and i appreciate them getting them made and sent off, but even then, it simply said 5 man, not race, that honestly was the smallest issue out of them all.
2nd there wasn't a series prize even though posted on the website until some time after the Chicago event, there were posted how the prizes were worked out for every division, based on number of teams entered into the events. It showed what % went to event prize and the % that went to series prize.
Now being college students, although most of us work, we have a school that doesn't do much as far as funding to help us out so it is a lot of out of pocket expense. None of the team complains about it, but my point is, that after the 1st two events, and seeing that the team right above us in ranking wasn't playing the 3rd event, we all decided it was worth scraping our pockets to play the last two events, and hopefully win the series prize. Then to find out after putting the money and time into practice, the events and getting off of school to simply be told "no, there never was a series prize" was really disappointing. Not to mention all of the different ways i have tried contacting the NPPL for a response, to not even get a short email back as to why to me is insane. This is, and has always been a professional business from what i could tell. But then to simply ignore a team that had made sure to put the money into every event, visit most of the vendors at the events, spend money, and even support the non paintball sponsors of the league like Saporro, just makes the company look bad. Other teams we asked about it at events, even vendors at the vegas event all thought it was crazy that there wasnt a prize, much less a reason/answer.
If someone from the NPPL would please message me to discuss this further, i would love to hear what is going on. i barely have enough free time during the day between jobs and class to sit on the phone, so messaging me on here, or better yet responding to one of my many emails would be great,
thanks...

I personally am one of those broke college students and believe this is completely ridiculous I payed my hard earned money to go to these events and this is how they treat us?

I also play for this team and am very upset at how the NPPL has treated us after we put the time in effort, not only into practice, travel plans, getting off school, etc, but also working so that we could afford to go to the events. Seems like we are getting robbed.

Not "kinda" false advertising. Just false advertising.

its not like its a huge ammount either, especially for a league like NPPL. the series prize added up to just over $6,000.....didnt want to make it a huge deal, but when no one will respond, i dont know what else to do.

Thats quite a chunk of change for some broke college students. You have every right to get that money if it was advertised.

My team won back to back NPPL Championships (2010 D4 and 2011 D3) and all we got for accomplishment were Trophies and Medals. If you want to make money in NPPL, you have to place at events

If you REALLY want to get a response then make an appearance at NPPL Denver this year. There will be plenty of one on one time with the NPPL directors.

Again. The issue was the advertised what the series prize breakdown % was. But then took it down before the season was over then simply said there werent series prizes
