On Pure Energy tanks leaking... very true. I had to have the whole valve system worked on. Buti na lang covered pa ng warranty ng shop.

I thought Piranhas were made in Taiwan? So would'nt it be a cheaper if it was imported from that country? IMHO it's practically a Spyder clone with almost the same problems. but still a very stable entry level marker.

when our team (bandidos) were playing for gotcha 12+ yrs ago, the most common markers we had was the tippman 68 special and the pmi sheridan/vm68 piranha.

there was a guy from a different team, cant recall his name, biboy (i think) made local paintball markers. we all named it as L91, L92 or L93 ... the L for Local, and 9x for the release year.

it was based entirely on the structure of the 68 special and its performance were at par. the price even was affordable ... half the price of the 68 special ...

it was kinda funny looking coz it never looked liked a paintball marker but an airgun rifle, but who cares then, since we were all hooked up playing scenario games in the jungles of antipolo.

what am i getting into here? if it was done before, then maybe it can be done again.

but then, the problem would be costing ...

where is that guy now? so far, last thing i knew he is the president of a certain 4x4 club here in the phils.

Greetings,

I was discussing offline with Spider130 the use of pump gun as an economical alternative means as oppose to medium to high end markers and would like to know everyone's input.

Pumps in the U.S. are widely use and brings me chills when playing againts one. Even the marvelous, brilliant and lovable DVS1 admitted of using it once in a while.

The obvious advantage such as using less air and paint is also learning how to shoot discriminately thus improving overall skills. When I watch pump players I notice one thing, their patience something I lack.

kumusta pinoy ballers!! Nick & DVS1, got no issues with you guys pushing the pump to better your playing skills. Suggesting using the pumper will make you a better player is dead wrong.
To make the field even, and to improve your shooting, teamwork, communication, and technical skills, in tournaments or friendlies, should be limited balls. Each team will have the same amount of p'balls. So it will be up to each team how they devide the p'balls.
I also think this is the way for our PI ballers to make this sport grow. Limited p'balls in one game/tournament. Will the marker matters when you're out balls?

every once in a while, "blackjack" turneys are held here. In that type of turney each player is only given 21 rounds per game. It really brings out your skill and patience in playing.
