Creepy movies need suggestions.

I havent seen a movie that has actually scared me in a long time and i want that feeling again. Anyone know some really creepy or scary movies? Im not really into gory stuff that stuff puts me to sleep and also i dont like movies that are gross like teeth. Anything that has to do with mutilation of sexual organs in crap doesnt creep me out either i just think its gross.

Movies that dont scare me: The exorcist (idk it just didnt do it for me), The Grudge (sucks), Halloween, Any of the saws (I think saw sucks terribly), Texas chainsaw massacre.

Movies that scared me in the past:
The amity ville horror.....thats all i can remember

Oh yeah i know i butchered my spelling but i couldnt care less.

Have you seen "The Strangers"

In all it's not all that great of a movie, but as for providing a couple cheap scares it does a great job

Check out the movie The Bunker it's a world war 2 psychological ghost story, I found it creepy. I would mention some gore-flicks but you said that's not your bag. I like some gore-flicks, but it has to have a good story, I don't like to sit through a violent movie, just to see the violence. Alot of violent non-sense movies have been made already. A good tool to use to find decent horror movies with substance is utilizing a "movie rating guide book", that would help you filter out the movies that you don't care for. I use books like that in order to find something rare that's good, cause I've seen quite a few movies already. I hoped I helped Lalapancakes.

why do you keep bolding your replys captain

and yeah The Strangers was pretty scary at some points. Mirrors was pretty good with Keifer(sp?) Sutherland, it was real interesting and did have a bunch of suspense, I would highly recommend it.

I suggest you rent The Descent (2005). I can almost promise you'll jump at that. And, as always, watch it late w/ the lights off.

This.

Especially if you have claustrophobia like myself. If you do, you'll feel like you're in that ****ing cave. Just watch it in the dark, like he said.

I watched the descent and I still don't understand why I liked it. It was such a ****ty movie. there were nearly no redeeming qualities in the whole thing.

I heard Dead/Alive was pretty good. It might not be a scary movie though. I think its a gore slasher type.

thats a decent movie, the scares are not cheap, there are a few pop in your face ****s, but as for the experience as a whole, i was on the edge the whole time, when i saw it in theaters, about halfway through it the girl sitting in front of me pissed her pants,

I second this opinion in my size 4 bolded underlined font. My words are big because they are so important.

Yeah, I thought it was actually a fairly decent film myself as well. I mean, sure, it had a Poor plot, poor character development, etc... But, for a psychological thriller such as this; it's really not half bad, considering psychological thrillers are the harder of the two to pull off IMO.

Pretty cheesy stuff today, but as a very young kid -- I was actually experiencing mild nightmares over what took place in that film, if I recall.
