The solenoids used in the Ego9 and Ego10 are made specifically for Planet, to Planet's specifications. It would therefore be possible for Planet to specify that the Ego10 solenoid have lower air flow rates and smaller air chambers without having to install the Plank kit.

One way or another, the cycle rate of the Ego10 has been reduced, and you don't need to obtain a Plank kit for it.

The Etek solenoid has always had a slower cycle rate than the Ego solenoids - all the way back to the solenoid used in the '05 and '06 Ego.
i'm sorry, haven't seen this post before.
The Ego9 and Ego10 solenoids are exactly the same. The only differences are the barb and the low pressure hose. Ego10 solenoid has a smaller barb and using the old style low pressure hose(Ego5,Ego6,ego7,ego8,ETek) + the holes on the marker body (above the solenoid) are smaller so the air flow is reduced therefore plank kit is not necessary to use.

Aaah, so the same effect is achieved by altering the ports of the marker body (which obviously couldn't be changed once the Ego9 bodies had already been designed and put in to production), rather than altering the solenoid. That makes a lot of sense - much like having the solenoid turrets (rather than the Plank kit), but built in rather than added on. Only..... simpler than the solenoid turrets! Much easier to incorporate these small but frundamental changes at the beginning rather than trying to add them later on.

Yes, that is correct.

Awesome, thank you for clearing this up... Any idea when the manual for the Etek3 will be publicly available? I am interested in seeing the new nylon manifold.

Why would the body break? It's aluminium on both models. Only the frame, eye covers and feedneck are composite on the LT.

And I highly doubt there will be any more broken LT frames than any other paintball gun frame out there.
