How can I practice for tournaments at home?

Okay, so I'm not exactly sure all what I should do to practice while I'm at home. Right now I created 5 targets of different heights, and I was practicing my running and shooting. I can also practice my snap shooting with those targets. But what else should I practice or what could I practice? How would I practice offhand shooting as well?

You're right on the money Ripkin. Keep doing what you're doing and it'll pay off. Any time spent with a gun in your hand is going to help you, even if it's not loaded. You got heart man

Sprints, you'll be surprised how much they help when you have to run down the field

I would also recommend shooting while reloading. There is no reason for tour gun to be down while reloading

Set up a target obstacle course where you do a mixture skills.

Example:

1. Run and gun to corner. Shooting at one target.

2. Snap out a target doing 1 ball check in after each shot.

3. Pretend to snap out and put that same target in then wrap and shoot a target inside.

4. Run down and bunker another target.

Do a few times with each had and boom.

You have practiced almost everything except communication.

Also any sort of paintball specific movement drills.

10-30yds
Prone sprints
Kneeling sprints
Lateral sprints
Forward sprints

What I did this winter was I set up my phone facing something I could be behind (simulating a bunker) and I recorded video of me snapping out, then I'd watch the video to see how I looked when I popped out. Then I could tell what to improve on, perhaps I need to tuck my elbow more or maybe I am bringing my arm out to far. You could also do this with a mirror, but I feel the camera is better.

I'd practice sprints with full gear and weighted pods. Helps build up endurance and also balance with full pods on your back. I like to hold my gun up with the tank and hopper installed and walk the trigger while running with everything turned off to simulate laning while running. I try to aim at the same spot on the wall while sprinting.

This is very important. Its actually harder than it looks to pull a pod out of your pack, open it and fill your hopper without looking at it and holding a lane. I advise you strap on your pack and put some empty pods in it, and practice shooting and reloading.

With running and shooting a lane type of drills you can put on half of a folding squeegee down your barrel. this will show you how much the end of your barrel is bouncing while running. youll be able to make adjustments to increase your accuracy and stability while running. the more the squeeg moves the less accurate your shots.
