Gtek Programming

I'm having trouble on setting my Gtek into ramping mode. I do not have the OLED screen yet but I will soon. Does anyone have a video on how to program the gun just using the color led lights? I'm still having a problem. Thanks

From the manual -

Modifying a parameter:

1 Enter the set-up mode.

2 Select a parameter.

3 Push and hold Select button (on/off power button) for 1 second to confirm.

4 The LED will go off.

5 Increase the unit value using the trigger, one pull per unit. Do not pull the trigger if the value should be 0.1.

6 Push the Select button to switch to tenths values.

7 Increase the tenths value using the trigger, one pull per tenth. Do not pull the trigger if the value should be 0.

8 Push the Select button to confirm. The LED will flash 3 times. The LED will show green if the changes are confirmed. The LED will show red if the changes are NOT confirmed. If the LED is red repeat step 5.

9 Push and hold the Select button until the LED turns blue to exit set-up mode.

Make sure you hit the Select button to confirm. I can create a video if it would help.

In English: (I had trouble just looking at the manual but finally got it figured out)

1. Turn the gun on and turn off the tournament lock (button inside the grips on the left side of the gun (just look at the manual).

2. Turn the gun on while holding the trigger down, colors will flash and it will be solid red.

3. Go to the color of the parameter you want to change by clicking the trigger to cycle through.

4. Hold the power button on the parameter you want to change and the lights will go blank for a second (that means you need to put in what setting you want then)

Example: I changed mine to capped ROF at 10.2 so I would hit the trigger 10 times once it went black first, then hit the power button once again and hit the trigger 2 times for the .2.

5. After you do that, hit the power button again and it will flash green if it was changed, and red if it wasn't. Repeat for any other settings.

Please someone correct me if I missed anything (did it last night and just going from memory)

The lock is off as standard. No need to do that stage.

You can add steps:

2.5 or 8.5 - Check value of the parameter by quickly pressing and releasing the select button. The light will flash the number of times that the parameter is set for. Long flash for whole unit, short flash for tenths.

funny.. my tourney lock was on, I went to do program mode and got a red flash and then nothing.. .

I've left it on cause I can walk a trigger fairly decently.

by the way, why didn't the board come with NXL, ramping or full auto?

It came with NXL in the form of Millenium and ramping. Full auto isn't really done by most manufacturers.

Is it possible to adjust the BPS for ramping on the Gtek?

The process outlined above is exactly what you should be doing (and yes it's all in the manual).

My Gtek doesn't have all of those modes, do I have to update the board?

They're all the same as millennium. I don't think you should worry about it

Can you do the video to make the gtek shoot 12.5 psp?

I'm not sure exactly what "uncapped ramping" would be. By definition, ramping sets you up to fire at some pre-determined rate. So there would have to be a speed it would cycle at. The GTEK can be programmed to ramp up to 15bps, and can go faster in uncapped-semi if the user can manage it.
I guess the only thing could be if it was to shoot as fast as the eyes and drive train will allow, but then you run into issues with tuning the speeds to allow the core to re-cycle between solenoid actuation.

I just got a GTEK used and I was wondering if there was anything special I should do to make sure the programming is setup right.

Factory reset, page 19 of the manual.
