The guys who built the MQ2 would disagree, as would personal experience on my end. You can even look at Kerry's site, where he flat out states the operating pressure of the valve at 250-300psi. Ty and I have also spoken with Mike Quinn pretty extensively, Ty much more than I, about the valves and this design in particular. MQ2's weren't designed or made to function under that range. You understand why I might be very skeptical.

I wouldn't use off the shelf mini parts for this build, mostly because the sealing face configuration will make it almost impossible to use the bottom tube for massive volume. You need to basically reconfigure the valve bias to be biased from the 2 ends and when actuated, air flows into the middle. (Hard to explain without a pic, but think of it like reversing the flow of air in a mini.) You actually have a lot of potential to gaining efficiency by doing this. The purge hole will go all the way through the poppet stem to get to the secondary chamber (kind of like the J4 torque configuration). That hole and the volume of the air you'll be draining relative to the noid flow rate will be critical, so I'd thread the plug exactly like a mini so you have some control. Poppet lift will be less critical. As a starting point, I actually suggest a .07mm hole through a delrin poppet and a very light spring. You need it to be responsive to a pressure shift because you won't get the back pressure boost like the mini.

Another thing I'd do is to make sure that the area in the middle of the poppet is 100% balanced. If you look at the geometry you'll have 2 orings on the poppet and a face seal. If you don't do this then you'll have a sloppy poppet and it'll be slow to close.

Using the bolt system I uploaded from my other account and this poppet method should fix any issues you have had.

Your basically thinking along the same lines as we are for the redesign. We're pretty sure that this design should work, but obviously we've been there before. Hopefully, we can prove that idea right.
