For the record, whether cloudy or sunny doesn't matter, clouds don't stop UV rays, however you will have more success in the summer than the winter.

Have a set of clear ears to run a few cycles on, courtesy of Japy! Results within a week hopefully!

And yes, good call. Its like tanning; you can still technically tan in the winter but it would differ from the results you are going to get in summer. Also the solution could freeze if it's too cold, however I don't know how that would affect the results if it froze. Plus I like to leave them in the sun just b/c I feel like it is more effective although like Paper_Cut said, "Doesn't matter, whether cloudy or sunny."

I wonder how it would work on a clear proteus? It's not soft like a flex, nor hard like hard ears, somewhere in between. I may have to pick some up and give it a try.

Makes me wonder as well! If you do plan on trying it shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up.

Also I got the clear hard ears today courtesy of Japy and will begin the process of restoring them tomorrow weather permitting. Stay subscribed for results!

Lol I also have a Clear Proteus sitting in my room. I'll take a look at it later and see if its even discolored at all and thus worth Icing. I believe the harder material doesn't discolor as easily in the sun.

If it does not discolor as easily it might actually be harder to restore as well. Again: another experiment I would have to test out haha

I've heard bleach works, just that over time it turns back yellow fairly quickly and can crack the rubber from drying it out. Never done it though.

I would think it would really dry out the rubber as Pump mentioned. When you get that stuff on your hands, it really makes them dry. If you valued your clear parts, I wouldn't use bleach. I would personally spend the couple bucks to buy a few ounces of this stuff from Pump and do it right.

How about peroxide? That is how you bleach out bones to get a bright clean white.

Never tried that either. I have only used Seaglow since it was designed for this use specifically. Didn't wanna risk any of my mask parts.

It won't actually do anything other than clean and "make more soft" or change the rubber on your flex back to its original state with colored masks. I don't think you could screw anything up as long as you follow my directions in the How-To.

Can you use this to remove stains from colored frames, like eps frames? or is it only meant for the clear parts?

It is more for removing the "yellowing" on the mask which is caused from the sun, not so much any staining. I have restored "yellowed" masks that had stains on them and they cleared up but the stains did not go away. Hope this answers your question!

Anyone ever tried this on clear Scott masks?

My clear Flexes are in good shape but my Scott mask could really use it.
