yah, I had to figure out some quirks. The auto white balance does some funny things so while I usually shoot .jpg I went to RAW just because of that. But with it being 12mp it's all good. The Canon did better in tricky lighting to get the AWB right. The camera would shift the pictures toward very blue if it was natural light with an off-color wall (like pink/green wall). Other than that it tracks way better and I feel more confident throwing it in continuous focus. I was afraid of the change in ergonomics/button layout. However, it's easier to use IMO. Most of what I need to change are a switches instead of holding down a button and looking through settings. Focus, metering, aperture, shutter and picture rate are all controlled by switches so

I always shoot in raw so I don't even have to worry about white balance right away. Plus with a 12mp camera, you can fit a ton of photos on a 16gb card.

nice image

I shoot with 4 gig and 8 gig cards just because if one gets corrupt I haven't lost everything. Sometimes I'll even have 40 or so shots left on a card and I'll switch to another one because I know that something is coming up where I'm going to want to shoot 70-80 in a row without wanting to miss something because I'm switching cards. They are cheap so I have quite a few and just switch when I need to.

I've never had a card go corrupt on me, but I know a lot of people do shoot like that. Luckily I can shoot to a 32 gb sd, and have it backing up to a CF at the same time.

vacation, regular shooting, i don't care. But a wedding...I do. Also, I've just had the cards for 3 years and just keep adding 8gigs at a time when I need them. Right now I'm only shooting about 800-1,000 photos a wedding and coming away with 120ish to give to clients. So only about 16-20 gigs all said and done. With the mkii I was burning through 20-24 gigs. Today it was somewhere around 15-16

Shot with a 5D Mark II of all things. Camera would be perfect if it focused and shot as fast as my 1D.

Did some of dat street photographery tonight.

Last one is my buddy giving the depressing pacing man a hug, video to come later.

I'm mad shaky today for some reason, I used to be able to sit and shoot at 1/20 @ 50mm with minimal blur, these were all shot 1/60 and above I believe.

EDIT: Video.
