Rule 6 will be from now on correct? I am assuming you mean an actual link posted in the feedback from now on?

Rule six is not new. If you have feedback from this year with no link, get the person who posted to edit in the link.

I like that you have to purchase something valued at more than $5.00, no more selling 1 cent stickers to generate feedback....

Since the rule change, all of the feedback I have left people has the link to the sale or trade thread but I have yet to have them link the same deal in my feedback.

Rules 1, 2 and 6 are the ones I see being broken all the time.

On Rule #6, what's the point of it? After a certain point of time, it will be sent to the Archive thread, where it will receive a new link. So then you get a dead link to the deal and possibly getting banned. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah but by the time they reach archive status the scammers and fraudsters will normally be weeded out...the moderators can tell by looking at the date of the feedback that it is in an archived thread.

same thoughts here

also you cant ever delete any bst threads now.. wont that increase the amount of stored threads ? and i take it this isnt retro active? i dont need to go back and get 250 people to throw links in my feedback?

alot of people deal through PM for things .. i have people i deal with all the time through pm.. now i am going to have to create more threads..

also i do NIB threads and i dont always keep them running.. so if i do a deal and link to that and its not gold upped.. it will say to the pbn user that they dont have access to my thread..

too bad you couldnt do a ebay style feedback system like i have on my forum.. no threads ever member has thier own feedback section in thier profile.. just like ebay and it gives you a score too based on the neg/pos/neu feedback the member recieves..

I personally think this will just create more and more drama and work for the mods.. It seems everytime i turn around there is another rule on pbn .. lol its like you guys want to find ways to ban all your members .. lol

oh well i guess i'll start linking now lol

i think the intention is good to try to slow feedback fraud.. i just dont know if its going to be easier for you guys

i have a good question, hasnt happend to me, but what if a person that has left u fb is perm bannd? u obviouly cant get them to edit there post to have a link. does that mean u are just skrewed and lost +1 fb?

Don't worry about being banned. Dead or incorrect links will at worst get that piece of feedback deleted.

PbN can handle more stored threads. Mods can see the post even if normal users can't. We are always looking for ways to cut down fraud and protect users. Maybe a new feedback system is the answer, but for right now we have to work within the confines of code on the site. Of course we don't want to ban anyone, and violating this rule means you might lose some feedback, not get banned.

You might lose that piece of feedback if it was posted in 2007 and does not have a link.

Any chance of this being placed at the top of the site when you first log on, because I never come here. (Was bored at work and decided to look around) So I would never have seen this and then could have been temp banned because I wasn't up to date with rule #6. Lucky for me I only had one transaction in 07 so it was easy for me to email that person but I could see where some people aren't going to even know that they have to have that in their feedback. Just a suggestion.

Is there anyway to set the forum to make a pop up whenever you enter the feeddback forum or any thread in the feedback forum that reminds you of the new rules.

Or maybe change it so you cant post a reply to a feedback unless a valid thread has been inserted before submitting reply
