True alot of times mcmaster isnt the always the cheapest especially with raw materials, but not everyone has a local metal retailer right down the road. Someone living out in the sticks might have to drive 100 miles to get materials. I suggested mcmaster for the convienience factor. even if you dont plan on ordering directly them its still a very handy book to flip through and get ideas, then you can call around locally and try to get a cheaper price. As far as the aluminum sheets however i didnt think their price was too outrageous, but then again i'm not a very thrifty shopper, im a lazy shopper. if i can get something shipped to my door with a couple mouse clicks im a happy man.
