i would've left some tips, but let me ask you this... when you took these pictures and viewed them on your monitor... what did you think? did you feel what you were feeling when you took the shot? was there a "wow" factor for you when you saw them on your monitor? when i first started photography, i never really showed anyone my pictures, until i knew that i captured exactly what i was thinking and everytime i looked at it i was brought back to that moment. i also wanted to make sure that i atleast came close to having good technique and composition... i can keep going and going, but i wont. i need to find a fatty and suck on it apparantly.

last note... a picture is only worth a thousand words if that picture captures the emotion and feeling of the moment... in your case (and my opinion only) your pictures only captured these things for me;

great! you got a camera, it felt like you were just looking for anything to take pictures of instead of thinking it through, you need a tripod, you need to learn how to rotate some of your pictures (if you are straining to figure out what it is you are looking at, chances are it's not a very good orientation) and lastly... take a class, read a book... the basics of photography will help even if you are using a p&s.

I like the dog one.. ih the res of his body were a tad more in focus it would work better, but I like it actually. shows nice movement.

compared to other photography forums, i would say that the responses people get here are a lot "nicer" than they would get on the other boards...

well, maybe for you. but from everyone else on this forum, when someone puts pics up, its usually a, "no, you suck, just stop." im not complaining. i just tihnk its wierd.
