that means it's lentil soup time.
I just had soba noodle soup with broth based on home made dashi. Sliced some u10 scallops thin, put them on top of the noodles, and cooked them lightly by pouring the simmering broth over the top.
Was nice, but no pictures.

homemade mac n cheese.
rendered the fat out of a couple strips of bacon. added flour to make a roux. then added half and half, italian blend cheese, rosemary, thyme, and garlic. added the al dente pasta and crumbled the bacon, placed it in a baking dish, topped it with panko and butter, then baked for about 15-20 minutes.

Wish I had a picture of this but it was SOOO good I couldn't not eat it. I call it the French Canadian Chilli Dog. Cook up some baked beans with some maple syrup added in. Take a footlong hotdog, wrap in bacon and secure with tooth picks and pan fry. While doing so, fry up some bacon real crispy like and delicious. Toast your buns if you like them that way. Then just take the tooth picks out, put in bun, add beans on top, then crumble the crisped bacon on top. Drizzle a bit of maple syrup on top and enjoy. Sofa king good.
