The only con is the efficiency. The rest of the marker is fabulous and will be ahead of the curve for years as it has been.

Cons are based on your preference and playing style. I love my Pooty Luxe and have owned it for > 1 yr. I have owned a Luxe for 4 years.

I am short at 5'6" and I like to play with a Ninja 49ci tank. I can only get 5 pods off that tank on the Luxe. So when I play PSP thats all I can shoot and changes my game to be more conservative during long points.

When I play 7 man, I have to play with the 68 tank, and is a bit uncomfortable at times.

DLX as a company has amazing customer service and a solid product. This is a solid choice in marker.

I dont like to do a lot to my guns...so I thought I wouldnt ike the Luxe...I was wrong...I love that I can lube the marker and not need wrenches...

I think the only true con i can find about my luxe are the eyes. Ive found that they get dirty eassier when it comes to ball breaks.

I'm rather new to the Luxe; i used my new-to-me 1.5 with 2.0 internals for the first time Saturday. At one time I thought they were overpriced, over-hyped, and generally not worth the money. After the first few shots, it was apparent just how wrong I was. The reason all high-end markers are compared to the luxe is readily apparent to me now. I currently own a V1 and Ripper Vics, Ego 11, Geo3, Clone GT, Vapor and now two Luxes ... the 1.75 (1.5 with 2 internals) and a 1.25 *1.0 with a 2.0 core. Had I not been so stubborn and tried the Luxe sooner, I would likely only own a Luxe for my high-end.
As for Cons ... I'm not a fan of the trigger, but I'll try a Violent trigger on the Luxe 1.75 soon ... but if you ask me, they are well worth the price especially if you can find one that is used but still in excellent condition.

If you've never owned a high end marker and you aren't very tech savvy it's not a marker I would recommend to you. The Luxe has its own appeal but it can be frustrating to deal with at times. Out of the 3 Luxes I've owned 2 constantly gave me problems and required non-stop maintenance to function. If you spend that same money on an Ego 11 you want have nearly as many problems and you can always bet it will shoot right out of the box.

If you have the ability to read the stickies and recognize the source of your problem and fix it and not neglect your marker then the luxe can be rock solid reliabilty wise. I know mine is.

pros:
super smooth
perfect ergonomics
easy to maintain
quick strip bolt
amazing customer support
rechargeable battery
great resale

Cons:
not the best on air (dont care play xball)
problems if not maintained properly
can be picky on cold days

on a side note if you take care of your luxe you will be perfectly happy the only time mine has ever gone down was when i took a bad dive and stripped the rear grip frame screw. but no worries i shipped it off and had it fixed in 2 weeks.

I don't want to be like the "downer", but since
everyone else can not seem to find any cons,
I thought I'd jump in. First let me say I really
like my luxe, but I haven't been able to use it
for the past 2 weeks, since the bolt spring got
"mangled" during normal play. The CS was out
of sight and Darryl sent me a new spring free
of charge, but needs a really peculiar hex key
to replace it, that I can't find anywhere. other
than sending my luxe in to dlx, there's not too
many options to get it fixed, there's no dealer
authorized in my area, even thou I live in a
reasonably large city. that's just my personal
experience thou. I still love the damn thing,
but I guess there's a reason most luxe lovers
have more than one at all times lol.

Pros have been well covered, and let me say I love my Luxe!

Cons:
Expensive this is only a con for buying one as selling one you get your money back out.
Not as efficient as some spools and much less than poppets.
Heavy compared to some markers. This does have something to do with the larger tank I use because of the efficiency.

Pro's have been covered.

Only complaints I've had were it was too long, voice was kinda annoying, and it was too smooth. If you prefer feeling the gun shoot, ie kick, then you go shoot a luxe before you pick one up. I notice sometimes that when I'm shooting down the tape for example, if I look to the inside for a couple seconds, I'll loose the shooting sensation I have to do a check on my lane. Quiet frankly, it's a good problem to have.

I guess it's preference... but I absolutely disagree with it being too long. I think the trend is high guns are getting longer because it provides a more stable shooting platform, especially when running and gunning.

Yeah, I could live without the voice. I guess it's nice hearing the battery level, otherwise I'd probably forget to check it.

Too smooth? Really?

Being 6'1 with long arms I personally love the length, even with a 77ci.

Well when your a old school baller and come from early gen egos, you grow accustom to feedback from the gun. Now he doesn't shoot the hand cannons anymore but still prefers a little push from the gun. My luxe barely moves at all and it's 100% vertical, no side to side, so its very very easy to compensate. Compare that feel to Dm even, I can see it throwing some people off. Only time it throws me off is when I don't look at my stream for bit. Since there barely any push, I find it occasionally "hard" to visualize where my lane is without looking at it. With an ego lets say, you can feel where your barrel tip is pointing since its pushing back so hard.

Maybe that clears the air a bit.

Sure, we'll chalk it up to personal preference. I'd assume the majority of people would prefer the smoothest gun possible. Not saying you're wrong, it just seems like a stretch to try and make it a negative. Having little to no kick, and a "smooth" shot comes in pretty handy. An easy example is holding a lane while reloading.

I'm fairly "old school" myself, and owned several guns before picking up the 05 Ego when it was first introduced. It was a nice gun at the time, but it didn't take any effort at all to get accustomed to smoother guns like the DM's and Luxes. I've owned mostly poppets over the years and still shoot one as a backup (G6R). It is another good gun, but I chose the Luxe is my primary. Again, it's all preference, but I have to admit I really don't get your "visualizing my lane" argument for wanting more kick... To each their own I guess

Luxe is hands down the

1.softest
2.quietest
3.smoothest
4, simplest
5.best shooting
6. Most compfortable gun ever

Ok put it this way 2008 luxe developed a adjustable solenoid manifold..
Also came with a lazer eye...
A freak insert sizing barrell..
Revolutionary macroless style..
Revolutionary tooless bolt removal
Bolt design was a better version of the shocker....
Mind blowing Board the thing talked to you....
Also introduced the rechargable battery...

In 2008 luxe took over the gun game...

Luxe traded for every other highend in the years past... holding its value....

I will never shoot another gun as long as luxe is around....

Anotherthing look at the

Clone gt
Vapor
Regency
Vanquish
Geo3
Demon

All of these guns took something from the luxe.. whether is adjustable manifold geo3 bolt design.. demon and vanquish... clone bolt removal and macro less

Just say everygun wishes theycan be what the luxe is...

Luxe was way ahead of every other gun manufacturer

So in my response any luxe is good they are all verygood guns 1.0.1.5 or 2.0 they are all the best gun out there!!

I rest my case

luxe = "you get what you pay for".

Which imo is probably one of the best money can buy.
The smoothness and accuracy of the luxe is crazy amd its so easy to work on and it just feels right when Im playing and use it
The cons seem to b mainly just personal preference except for the cold weather one guess thats a + to living n south tx lol really doesnt get cold too often but I would like to add one more personal preference con amd thats id like luxe to have an asa thats like a pops just bc im that lazy lol

There are only two cons I see.
1.)Air efficiency, 6-7 pods on a 68/45 (this is my only gripe with this gat)
2.)Weight, its not as light as a G6R, GEO3, or an LV1 but you will get used to it.

Pros: Hands down the best gun out there. Do regular maintenance and it will serve you well. I play here in Canada and no it doesnt have problems with the cold nor does it have problems with lube(I use sleek).

Customer service is really good, and for the guy looking for the allen to remove the bolt, call DLX they will send you one.
