Prestige - Missouri S&T Paintball

Team Finances/Dues:

This semester dues will be $25, you must pay this before the first paint practice/tournament to be eligible to play. Also before you will be able to play next year, you need to settle up your previous debts to the team. So if you haven't paid your dues or previous fees, get on it.

Jerseys:

We are going to be getting new jerseys this semester. If you want to go to Nationals this is a must because it allows us to get a discount on entry fee. We will be ordering FCR jerseys from RAZA and using their semi custom design, incorporating the schools colors and our own logo. Cost should be no more than $70 (probably less).

Nationals:

It is going to happen. We got approved for funding for Nationals. Entry fee and most of the paint will be covered, however we will have to cover hotel, travel, and food ourselves. That being said, the individual cost will be at least $200. We plan on bringing the best 5-7 players that are available.

Spring Semester Tournaments:

Our first tournament of the year will be in Indiana on the 24th of February. Some of the team has played here before and have good things to say about their field so it sounds promising. We will have a practice the weekend before the event, time and location to be determined.

As far as hosting our own tournament goes, the team is looking into holding the Illinois Open at Xtreme Paintball Park in Millstadt, Ill, on 4/6. Paint practice would be the weekend before.

Rec Day:

We will be holding another rec day next semester. Hopefully we will have a better turn out. Look for that to be scheduled
towards the end of the semester between Nationals and dead week.

Fitness Practices:

Kevin is going to send a survey to figure out what time everyone is available. We plan on having two a week with 50% attendance
mandatory if you want a bid for the top line ("A Team"). If you attended the meeting today, congratulations, you got two bonus points.

Thats pretty sweet that you guys are going to Nationals. We always talked about it, but never pulled the trigger. Have any pictures of the new jerseys?

I can, not sure when Ill get there/If Ill even get there. Its about an hour detour. But we shall see.
Have you guys picked out a hotel in Lakeland? Gunna try getting an Alumni group to go for the race-2. Let me know.

We are having practice this Sunday...

We will need extra bodies to play against besides the 5 that are going to Indiana with us so please come and get a good day of practice in. I'll post up more on time and location later this afternoon.

Hey guys - don't mean to spam your thread, just looking for some info...

I go to S&T and actually used to practice with the team in 2009 I think, but I've mostly gotten out of the sport since then. I'll be in Kansas City this summer and really want to get back into playing some casual games/tournaments. I've looked around and didn't find any leagues or anything around the area, but I was hoping if some of you might be able to offer some info if you're from around there.

I used to have an account on here but haven't used it in years and forgot everything, lol. Used to play back/mid for a team out of Wentzville at RiverSplat in '07-'08. I still have all my gear, minus a gun so I'll be looking to buy one in the near future...

Still alot that needs to be done, like voting on the team, booking the hotel and rental vehicle, and paying the entry, but hopefully we'll have all that figured out by spring break.

Any word on what hotel you guys are planning on in Nationals. Doug and I are for sure going to be there and we are working on convincing Joe and Dan also.

Just as an FYI, Days Inn seems to be the nicest and pretty cheap at $54/nt and is only 6.6 miles/11 min from the field.

I'll book the hotels as soon as we pay for our team, which will probably happen next week on Wednesday or Thursday, so as soon as I book it I'll let you know. We'll shoot for the Days Inn. Would you and Doug be willing to help coach?

If its PSP rules then you can't staff your coaches. Unless they're in your pits.

The original early registration date was March 29th, so I was planning on booking the hotel right after we payed the entry but now they move it back to April 3rd, so I'm waiting until Wednesday. I've looked at the hotels in that area and we're either going to stay at the Days Inn or the Baymont. Probably the Baymont cause they're offering a 20% discount if you stay for 3 nights. I think the two hotels share parking lots, so we'll still be close. Although we might only book rooms for two nights and if that happens we might try to get the deluxe suite at the Days Inn. I'll post as soon as I book it.
