The S6.5 Upper Body Now has no Detents on the Sides of the Upper Tube. The "old" detents were complex and not easy to take care of if they went bad because of the tiny pieces. It now has a little O ring detent coming up from the bottom of the upper tube like the T2. Much more simple. It is overall a Cleaner Look, as well as easier system to work with.
The 6.5 is extremely smooth. I used to think that my son's T2 was super smooth in comparison to my wonderful SS-25 but the S6.5 is a great leap beyond the SS25 and even better than the T2.
I read somewhere comparing the feel of the pump stroke of the two markers, describing the T2 as a bit "mechanical" and the S6 & S6.5 as having a more "magical" feel. I'll agree with that.
