During tournament play, I shoot an angel. I have seen plenty of players with luxes that are just bad. The gun does NOT make the player, its part luck, part skill. The only thing a luxe would do to somebody is give them a confidence boost. Just remember the luxe doesn't lane for you, it doesn't lead your target, it doesn't do anything other than shoot paintballs.

During open play there are times when I use a bone stock A-5, just because I like to feel outgunned by teams with electros. I have no issue hitting players with luxes, egos, or any electro for that matter. It was just last week actually. We were playing some hyperball at a local field, I went out with my tippmann, and heard the other team say "this should be easy" They ended up losing.

Paintball is part luck part skill.

Honestly its like 60% the luxe and 40% the player a new player wont know how to rocket trigger and he wont know many techniques but then again its a luxe that thing rapez whenever i see one i get a strange feelin in my stomach because its something my etek and i cant handle but be smart get on his team

As good as a gun is, I see LuXe players get smoked. Poor form, sticking their face where it shouldn;t be. Shoot too low. Running into paint. Fail dives.

A gun can't make up for the basic and raw skills you need.

Experience over firepower. We had no problem using pumps against angels and Spyders/Mech Cockers against all the latest and greatest hardware out there.

Paintballs aren't round so nobody's marker is any better that anybody elses the milisecond it leaves the barrel. Rate of Fire ie (Spray and Pray) loses to a player that can point and shoot running or in any position, Left or Right handed, any day of the week.

Wrong. The luxe makes a player jump higher, run faster, and makes him the best player on the field; better than Alan Greenspan and Alex Fraige combined. One time I saw a new player with a luxe shoot Bob long in the face. The luxe is just so many different kinds of special, there is no way you can win the player of the paintballs award without shooting one.

guys this is the truth its about 10 percent gun 90 percent player before you start yelling when someone is ramping 12.5 bps it doesnt equall skill but it helps cover areas. I go to walk on to speedball matches with a built cocker pump and uasually get most people out
