if you are seriously trying to get rid of more wieght still, you could mill off the talon grip to cut into it and completely mill off the trigger guard so its gone altogether. anyways.. nice work...

Yeah, but the point was- working, normal gun... all the regular features, no cutting off stuff you need... not structurally weak... quality high-end parts, not just the lightest I can find.

To show two things-

1. Maufacturers, with all their machinery & experts, have really not done all they can to lighten up guns... when a guy with a hacksaw & file can do better.

2. Ions have a lot of potential, a really good design, just handicapped by a hated company & poor manufacturing.

But its gone, sold a while back... so no more cutting to be done by me.

Bent first, to shape... then filed to get out all the bumps. If I had it to do again, some heat would help it bend without losing as much integrity.


And yeah, it would be a sweet pump... thinking about pumping my dads ion now.
