I'm still trying to figure out my best setup for that. I'm going to try two leg holsters next weekend and see if that works better for me. I like to be able to briefly holster while reloading the second. Last weekend I tried a shoulder holster and leg holster, and the shoulder holster was too difficult to quickly drop the second pistol into for reloading.

One thing I'd highly recommend is enough mag pouches to hold ALL your mags. Including the ones you plan start the game with in the pistols. Wait to pop in the mags till right before the game starts. This way in the heat and humidity the paintballs won't be under spring tension longer then necessary.

For holding the spare mags I've gone cheap and I'm actually using old 100 round pod packs that hang off a belt and open from the top. They can hold one mag loosely or two mags snugly. You can often find them cheap used.

The other benefit other then cost to using the 100round pod packs is that you can also carry a 50 or 100 tube with you for reloading the mags between games. I actually use a pistol pursuitpod (http://pursuitpods.com/) for this which also fits well in an old 100r pod pouch.

REJOICE! I think I have found a solution for our extended mag qualms! Fix your eyes on this!

Measurements:
Screwhole depth = 3/8 inch
Base of screw to end of extended mag = About 7 inches
Therefore:

Nine inches long ball socket! I placed an order with mcmastercarr, it should come this week and I will let you guys know how it goes!

I'd rather use the quick change adapter. Should work great even on extended mags, and you can't be accused of bringing tools on the field.

It was a bad idea for Tib to make the RVA (velocity adjust) and 12g hex the same size

If you are at a place where people accuse others of cheating for having any tools on them ... it's not going to make a difference if the size is the same or different.

I could see where it might be a problem for a tournament, but for rec play? Only one size allen is nice.

Why would I go through the trouble of buying the oversized wrench and sharing the info if it did work?

If I took that out and the refs didn't see me, someone's not doing their job. But anyone who cranks velocity would prob play with another gun anyway, lots of other guns that are much easier to manipulate.

Well I just bought a 8.1 yesterday, should be here on Wednesday. While I probably won't play only pistol all the time, I will occasionally, and I plan on bringing the 8.1 with FS on the field with my pump... Should be crazy fun for longballs.

I have to say, you make those extended mas look well worth the price... any luck with finding a lower leg holster for the extended mags? I would think something similar to an else ankle to knee squeege holder would be perfect.

It's been awhile playing with pistols -- during the dark ages, I used to own two Delta .68's and that was pretty fun. That particular shooter was quite accurate at a distance, but I like to get up close and bunker my opponents. I'm happy to say that just recently, I've completely sold all of my traditional paintball gear to convert into a dedicated pistol setup. I've ordered all of the necessary rigs, pouches, tubes, cartridges, and holsters. So I'm pretty much ready and waiting for my T8.1 to be back-ordered and shipped to me,

So far, I set my gear to accommodate about five T8.1 magazines (six, but one in gun) with six 8rnd tubes and six 12gram cartridges. Hopefully that's not overkill -- but it seems to be a pretty light setup. At my local field, there are two games on one field for one round. So my idea is to use at least all six magazines during one game, and after that, I'll reload them with my 8round tubes for the next game. After the two games are over, head back to the car and load up. Sounds like a plan to me I guess you can say I'm a part of this pistol players only 'thing',

I love playing with my 9.1 as a pistol.. There's nothing better then the feelin you get when you only have 8 rounds In probably 4 mags while almost everyone around you has 8 pods.. Best feeling ever!!
