The Dark Knight Rises
Looks like Katie Holmes is back... playing her sister? Would that make the character a twin or not...?

This is a terrible idea. Anybody who doesn't follow the pre-release news of the film (which will probably be 80% of viewers) will be extremely confused watching the movie.

It's worth pointing out that IMDB isn't known for their fact-checking or accuracy.

Hopefully these movies dont fall into the same issues that the original star wars trilogies faced. Star Wars set the tone and universe up. Empire was amazing, bringing a dark tone to the storyline and Return was a lot of filler. It tied up lose ends and gave us a final showdown but at the end felt weak.
BBegins gave us our foundation, TDK brought pain and loss to Batman's life. This movie is goimg to be Nolan's last and possibly the end of this franchise as it is now. Get ready to see Batman having some real troubles coping with the loss of Rachael and Harvey along with the entire mob and GPD after him. He's going to feel alone. He's realized that he must be Batman no matter what for the good of Gotham and I hope finally we can move past that. Get into Bruce when he's finally getting his **** together.
Nolan has proven that he can take many plotlines and tie them together without too much clutter, he's also great at dealing with big stars sharing screen time.
The villians arent as important as how they affect Batman's life and task of saving Gotham. There's too much focus on them.

This will definitely be the end of this version of Batman. Nolan has already said so. It's going to have a definitive conclusion to the series, and it's done. The studio, obviously, isn't happy about it... but it's his, and apparently either he has full control over it, or they know it wont work without him in this capacity. Either way he's getting his definitive end.
They're already planning the next reboot.
I think reboots into different Superhero universes every few movies could be cool. Sort of like jumping between comic series. You get a new look at an existing person as you jump between these reboots. Give them proper definitive stories, and end them right... then go for a new take on it.
I'm psyched.

without Nolan they lose christian bale...if you lose both you have nothing. That's why its dying. Bale doesn't want to make one of these movies every 2-3 years. Can't blame him for that he wants to do other projects as well.
Although from a fans point of view I wish they would have done a 5 movie series instead of 3. They have the following base, characters/director to have pulled it off and I don't think its ever been done before...5 successful movies that were actually good?

you also have to understand some of the people involved in the projects do want to move on to other things. You can say that your goal was to spend 6-9 years making 5 batman movies as an example.
I mean look at harry potter, as kids you can get away with it, but they have been waiting to be done with harry potter for awhile now...and its almost there...they still have obligations untilt he final release...but for the most part they are breathing that sigh of relief

I still don't think Katie Holmes will be in the film. If it were true it would have popped up on other film news websites with the rest of the casting updates. Have you guys never seen two people cast in the same role on IMDB? Stuff like this happens all the time, especially for Nolan's Batman films.

IMDB doesn't fact check, but in order to edit information on IMDB you have to have IMDB pro which costs $15/month. Maybe somebody would spend that kind of money to pull off a mediocre prank like this but that's unlikely.

There's too much riding on this movie for it to be bad. This movie will be just as good as the rest. I have complete faith in Nolan when it comes to Batman.

Ironically, everyone who's read the screenplay says that not only has Nolan & Co. wrapped up the trilogy incredibly well, but it's been said that he's bested TDK as well. Early testimonials are pretty rave.

Anne Hathaway is a more than capable. Just because she starred in a couple ****ty disney and steve carell flicks doesn't mean she's unable of being a decent actress.

Early word is that there'll be a teaser out with Harry Potter in July. But we'll see if it's confirmed or not.
