nissan 300 Question

Old man down the street selling a nissan 300, '86, 80,000miles, automatic, not sure if its a twin turbo yet didnt get to look at it. But he said he's notsure how much he is going to sell it for. Im not too sure about prices on those b/c I was into a 240sx orignally. What do you think it is worth? I have around 2,000$. But whats the highest I should go b/c if need be I could put that as a down payment. Thanks for any help.

Unless he's racing on a road course an automatic trans is fine.

dump in a sr20 motor and some rims, you'd have a good little track whore, ...or maybe a slyline engine

you'd be better off saving up and springing for a used 91 or above (z32). Be careful when looking into the twin turbo models however because the turbos have a lifespan of i think its 80,000 miles before they need to be replaced
