Did just that myself, not looking back. Funny thing was, I had an old CS3 hacked serial on file from way way back in the day that got me $30/mo on the first year.

Got a RS-C2II wired remote switch in the mail today, just tested it out and came up with this, 40D 70-200f/4 @ 200mm f/11 ISO: 100 exposure time: 8 seconds.

Might have to rob a bank or 2

I'd go for the VR1, but the 80-200 is a solid lens as well. It can be found for much cheaper too

The additional cost for the VRII isn't really worth it over the VRI imo. I loved my VRI when I was still shooting Nikon. Fast, crisp, perfect IQ. I think I sold it for $1300 if IIRC.

I hate cold call/email marketing..seems like a waste of time but people keep pushing me to try it so I am. So far nothing, one reply that went nowhere.

Yeah I just wanted the supreme ruler, but with all honesty, I'll be very happy with a VRI or a Siggy 70-200 thats calibrated correctly(Shot it before and was super impressed on my D700)
Wish Nikon was so pricey at times and offered a 70-200 without VR, unlike the 80-200 which doesnt have HSM. Makes me miss Canon sometimes

Anybody see/hear of Sigma's new 120-300 2.8?
As far as I know, it's still a prototype, but definitely an interesting zoom range.

Canon makes a 28-300, that thing is pretty trippy. I know Gary has one, not sure if he uses it very much though.

Sigma has had a 120-300 for a while. I think the new one is just tweaked.
