If your pro shop can't help you, first call dye for an RA number and only then should you ship it.

Not to many pro shops on my side of town... Shipping would be best. Thanks for your help.

i sent in my gun it took them 3 weeks to send it back, didn't cost me anything had my local paintball shop send it out for me, and then i got it back and there was a report taped to the box, on what they did, for me they said i didn't have rollback, which it didn't for like a week, and then the bolt still gets stuck back, cause they say,

if you put air in the gun the bolt should pop forward, right before the feed neck, mine did that, but now it still stays back, and all they did was replace the sear spring a o-ring and the battier, but with my with aired up the bolt will not pop forward, so it might have worked for them, but it still has rollback, so for me its not worth sending it out again for another 3 weeks, and for it not to get fixed. cause i called dye when i got it back, and asked them if they checked for rollback, cause they said they forgot to add it in the report that they did check it, but they said it didn't have rollback, so its all on you in you wanna send it in or not, my gun still works just fine.

Sent my 08 SLG back with this issue, and the fixed it correctly, but it took a full 4 weeks from my door to theirs (2 full weeks at Dye).

i wish they had fixed mine, plus im only 4 hours away from dye, in San Diego, but oh well my slg seems to work just fine, unless its below 50 degrees, but that's most markers.

I called DYE, told them I needed my marker and couldn't afford to to be down for any length of time. They created an RMA # for me and stated that If I wanted to pay for expedited shipping, they would ship it same day. Call and talk to a gun tech.

Yes sir i did (it was gassed up)... By the time DYE gets their crap together i could go out and buy and 09...But this will be the last SLG or dye marker i own.... MAYBE? lol

What is the measurement of the short bolt? or The measurement of the (long) right size bolt.

my 09 slg bolt length is 102.95mm =/- .03mm (4.052 inches)
i would imagine around 102-103mm or 4 inches would be considered the "correct length"

Again, ive sold 35+ slgs( from first batch at cup to the last ones made before 09 slg) and not one of them had a rollback issue when gassed up. without air, sure, by design the pressure is what pushes the bolt forward, held by the sear.

The total length of the bolt is not the sole cause of the issue. It is the length from the edge of the sear, to the tip.

The short bolt issue only effected a small portion of the first shipment. It sounds like the guns you sold were not in that group.
