etek 2 stripped screw on eye....any suggestions??

never had 2 deal with a stripped screw head but one of the eye cover screws is stripped so i obviously cant clean out my eyes or change ball detents. what is the best way to deal with this?? THX!

They have kits that will do this, google "screw removal kit."

They basically destroy the screw, so you'll need a replacement...

Pretty much anything you do will destroy the screw, but it's stripped so it's already worthless.

If you don't want to get the kit, you can also just slot the head and take it out. If the head is too recessed it's not an option, but if you have access to it with a cutting wheel on a Dremel, you can slot it and take it out with a flathead driver.

Easy out are very hard to find that small. Iv had good luck using a drill bit just bit enough to fit in the head. Drill a little ways then throw it in reverse. Normaly it will grab enough to turn the screw.

try a torx bit, beat it in a little ways if you have to.
