Can you tell me whats wrong with this?

so i bought a clone gt off pbnation now when powered on its very dim and is on the highest bright setting.

It's hard to read certain settings any ideas?

thanks everyone i just wanted to point out to the seller that the screen needed to be replaced get some other opinions. He said there was nothing wrong with the screen haha

the screen isnt burnt out to my knowledge it works perfectly fine. it is not super bright but i was un aware of it having an issue. please provide some pics for me i have no problem working the situation out

its not totally burnt out but the pixels are messed up making it super dim and hard to read certain settings/ you can see in the pics that its bright is some spots and dim in others. i had a gt that i bought brand new from trademygun.com when the gt first came out and the display was way brighter. this screen is messed up

note it is on the brightest setting it should be bright and readable and its not

hmm let me think about this im not to sure i want to refund 30 dollars for a screen that really doesnt look to have an issue. looks readable to me and i never had an issue with it.give me a day and i will come up with something.

by the way if you want to get nit picky you did not pay me the full 900 your paypal fee was wrong. i did not complain though

Because its on the highest brightness, it shows that the screen is dying. You will need a new one in a few weeks due to it being completely burnt out.

Manufacturing defect which isnt covered unless you are the original owner. Very common problem and can happen in a second. One second its fine and the next time you power up its dim.

like i said through pm's i will work something out with you. i have used the gun multiple times and never had an issue with it. this is why it was not listed in the thread. i actually have some pictures of it working normally. Just for th sake of asking did you put a new 9volt in it or used one?

Doubt a new battery would help, but it would never hurt to try for sure.

A screen dimming after every use is something that most people see. Granted, many are gun whores so you might have only used it once lol.

Honestly, it was originally your gun that you sold/traded to the OP. you should know the potential problems of the marker you list, and unfortunately you got the short end of this stick and will have to pay for some of the new screen. I'm really hoping for one of you to post saying you guys had a mutual agreement (like split 50/50).

trust me i have already tried to explain what was going on with the screen but keep getting the run around from him. just had to file a claim through paypal for $34.24 for a new screen. but now im just thinking about a full refund and buying a gt from somebody else.

This is true actually, as it happened to my teamamate half way through the day. First it was fine, then bam! Dim screen.

This could even mean that he shipped it with a working screen, and it started dying upon arrival.

Same thing happed to mine

Obviously you have to do what you think is right but it *might* have been fine when he shipped.

I put mine away one Friday night after leagues, then powered it on the next week at leagues and you could barley see the screen. Looked just like the one you posted ~ kind of splotchy looking, some pixels were lit and some were not.

This is ridiculous. In the early post it was mentioned that you didn't cover the PayPal fees, which at ~3% makes it almost $30. Do the right thing and just order a screen and move on. Not to mention he has been super generous and is willing to go half.
