If i were you i would get a Model 98 they are very derable, easy to clean , and have alot of upgrades possible. with the 50 you save for getting a TL+ you can buy a good after market barrel I recomend a CP 10in.
I wouldn't listen to anybody that can't spell durable. 98customman, why don't you stop praising the M98 and bashing any other "newbie" gun. Once you graduate from eigth grade in about 2 years, then you might be listened to. And buddhist priest isn't a complete newbie, granted he didn't know how to oil a gun, but he is right about the barrel. All you have to do to oil the gun is put a couple of drops in the asa, gas up, and dry fire.

keep the bashing down or i will close this post and it will be all looking(reading)and no touching(posting).

seriously to each his own the spyder vs. m98 will be just like the mag vs. the cocker.

just post your opinion about the guns not other people.

Oiling via ASA

I've read a lot of posts about oiling via ASA through dry firing. I've talked to people who've played a long time and know a pretty damn large amount of info and they say its a common misconception when you say to dry fire after putting oil in the ASA.

Basically, if you're firing with no CO2 or any other gas..how's the oil going to travel to all the parts? There's nothing giving the oil the push to move through all the parts. All the people I talked to say to attach your air source then just fire blanks..without the barrel on of course. Fire about 20-30 times just to cycle all the oil.

Correct me if I'm wrong..and if you find I am, please explain how the oil travels throughout the gun without a source of push.

i think what they mean by dry firing is to gas the gun up and fire without paint or a barrel on the gun. this will push the oil through the gun.

Dry Firing means manually cocking the bolt and firing. You have to recock the bolt everytime you want to dry fire without an air source.

that is ONE definition of dry firing, you'll get a different answer depending on who you ask. its obvious he meant firing it with a gas source in this case.

hehehe i like buddhist priest just because of his quote...hahahaha oh man it works on so many levels...you can substitute shooting and automag for anything...
Guitars:playing a squire
Carsriving a Ford or Chevy (your preference)
hahaha oh well...

BTW just to stay on Topic i have a M98 and its built like a tank thats good and bad, on one side...you cant really break it, and it shoots good especially in cold weather when your using co2 i played mid-november when it was 38 Degrees out with CO2 and it worked fine...on the bad side...it looks and feels like a tank...heh i mean it isnt exactly the prettiest gun on the field and although reliable its trouble to take apart (all those screws) and the Spyder and its clones are very pretty, annoed guns the shutter and that shade of blue man that looks real purty...but anyway...its up to you shoot every gun you can, make a choice (you already did) and try not to regret it...

Have fun with it and kiss your money goodbye...

However, i did not order a TL+, but i díd buy a used automag classic with a minimag body, 20z, jacko 14" infanity, mask, 9v revilution. And all this for 50-70 less then for the spyder or whatever.. If u live in sweden i recomend u go for the automag instead, there are easy to get hold of for a fair price.
