Refs were solid, and the event ran very smooth imo. my only complaints are the weather but you cant fix that, but the paint i paid 55-60$ for was like shooting rubber paintballs, i would have expected higher quality tournament paint.

overall great event though.

that wasn't Ultra Evil sir, just regular evil. the paint shot ropes, its just not breaking. i was hoping/expecting more brittle paint that wouldnt bounce people as much...but it happens. overall still an fantastic event.

Gotcha. Worked fine for us. Just shoot people in the goggles and it won't bounce

How was the Valken paint?

this man is correct is was just regular evil. It was actually pretty good; it was the slowly increasing temperature and the moisture in the air that made it bouncy. You have to take care to keep the paint fresh in these situations like have your pod guy open the bags only as soon as he needs to to get you out for the next game and definately not a day for speedfeeds, hoppers should be filled just before walking into chrono.

You sir have obviously never shot Ultra Evil. That was indeed regular evil, albeit, at Ultra Evil prices . Enjoyable tournament overall.

Shot fine for us too. I did chop a bit, but that was my detents. I only had one ball bounce off me, but that was off my elbow pad.

that is not true. they can see it break but there has to be at least some mark. if the ref sees it break it can less the quarter. but there has to be some kind of mark.

Just to chime in the Quarter rule hasn't been used since the days back in the woods. There was a reason as to why they implemented it which one of the old school ballers could probably explain... I've played countless PSP's and NPPL's and as long as the referee see's the paintball hit and splatter off you it is considered a hit regardless of the amount of paint Left. ik this first hand cuz it has happened to me and I've seen it countless times

Thanks for clearing this up. I've always understood the rule as the same "as long as the ref see's a break he doesn't have to show you paint".

Excellent event, great start to this season. 5-man was phenomenal and i'm pumped for the 2nd event. Thank you for a well oiled machine of an organization.

And for the argument, blasting in the face is the most effective way, lol. :nododgy:

Sorry but that is not true, just another magical rule that everyone claims is in the current rulebook, but has yet to be found. If a ref sees a paintball break on you, you are out whether or not a mark is left.

plus the goal is to not get hit at all not argue about whether it left paint or not in a perfect paintball world paint wouldnt bounce and would leave a big bright splatter..
