THe quest for the ultimate barrel for Kaos
Thought of starting a thread to share what barrels have you guys experimented on and how it has fared for you in terms of accuracy and sound.
I'm using a 14" CP .689 one-piece barrel. Not exactly my idea of quiet, but definitely a few notches down from the stock ones. I also noticed my shots are alot straighter but with an occassional oddballs.

Stiffi Metal Free is the way to go. they are quiet one piece and have a control bore in them. $65 and they come in .679 all the way up to .989 i have the .683. its great light weight and easy on paint.

Why are these all such bad suggestions?
The CP has a short control bore, there are better for the same price category.
Stiffi MF barrels have a horrible inner bore, and short and wide at that, and are overpriced due to branding.
iFit kit isn't a barrel kit. It's a sizer kit which you add to barrels... like ones that you like, but have a bore too large and what have you.
Deadlywind barrel doesn't seem like something worth considering as it's $90 and you're putting it on a gun which costs the same price. Besides, a freak barrel is a third of the cost, triple the weight and functions 100% the same.
Look into:
Pre-2006 Powerlyte Scepter kit
LAPCO DE Barrel Kit
Disruptive Barrel Kit
TAS GnB Barrel Kit
Lurker Eigenbarrel
Sanchez Machine Orbium-III
Lucky15 Barrels
Empire Sniper Kit
New Style WGP Kaner Barrel (Kit)
Critical 100G Barrel Kit
All have properly long control bores (7"-8"), have an extremely high quality internal bore and finish (less breaks, better consistency and accuracy) and are really at the top of the chain as far as performance goes. There may be one or two I am missing.
Shaft4 not included as it is too much like the Disruptive at 2+ times the price.
I would honestly suggest this as the best route to take: Lurker .684 Eigenbarrel (This is their largest. From what I heard, the paint in your area tends to be around a .686, so this should cut it perfectly.) and a TechT Hush bolt.
These will get you a much smoother, quieter, more consistent and efficient (not that efficiency really matters...) marker which will last longer due to being able to run at a pressure so much lower than stock.
Other things to consider: If your tank is adjustable, drop the output pressure to ~550psi. Will let the gun shoot smoother and more consistently.

barrels are two sided, they improve alot on the accuarcy but in the end they dont. stick with somthing you can adjust bores with. that is the number one thing that gives you accuracy, a good fit and it will fly stright, dont get a barrel over 16 inches. they will eat up your air, any barrel over 16 inches is over kill bc weather you use a 12 in or a say a 20in you still crono your gun for the same speed at the exit of the barrel. a good smooth bore sight is what you need, the less friction there is the less air it takes to put the ball up at the same speed,,,,, key note, dont use tectt ifit pieces, their junk, they bore sizers are only a couple of inches, get a barrel that has sizers in the 5+ inch range like the ti longbow, powerlyte sceptor, or freak stainless steel, dont over pay for the carbon fiber barrels, alot of times people buys them and throws off their game bc the balance is bad. to back heavy.
remember/// your only as good as your confidence level is that day, go in with a good attitude and ready to rip **** up and you are gona have a damn good game

less of a control bore with the ifit. if you won 3 sets sell 1 to get the fibur. Its latterly the only barrel you will ever need.

If you are looking for cheap you cant go wrong with a Planet Eclipse One Piece 14" Shaft Barrel for 15$
http://www.ansgear.com/Planet_Eclips...lshaft14ac.htm
Or at least that's what I did, but I haven't tested it yet. Still it has some pretty good reviews for a 15$ upgrade.
